Hi! I posted this under Hermes thread because Hermes uses togo and swift leather.

I am having a bag made. It is trunk-style. The artist proposes to use togo leather for the exterior leather and swift leather. I wonder if those are good leather choices?

TIA!

Companies use leather names like 'Togo', 'Swift', and 'Box' for word search terms and it is misleading.

Whilst it may mean, Togo = thick grainy leather and Swift = finely grained smoother leather, it's word-spin to garner more business and align their brand with other luxury brands.

Like Prada's Saffiano and H Box leather they are trademarked 'recipes' that belong to Houses. Stamped leather or polished leather are the generic terms and should be adhered to.

I will move

Would having togo leather for exterior and swift leather for interior good choices for this trunk bag?
