So I had wanted a college bag in medium for a while and last May I pulled the trigger and got a burgundy with ruthenium hardware. I had always wanted a burgundy bag and don’t have anything ruthenium so I thought it would be a good choice. As soon as I saw it, I knew I didn’t love it but the FOMO and hoarder in me spoke louder and I kept it (smh).
I’ve since used the bag maybe once or twice for each time it was more of a “I have it and so I should use it to get my money’s worth”.
I’m not sure if it’s just me or this combo is just not a nice one. The second photo is a closer match to colour in real life!
Help me decide if I should sell!!!

I would get some quotes from consignment stores to see what you could sell it for and then decide.
If you can get a decent amount back from what you paid then it's time to think about what else you could put the money towards perhaps.

honestly it looks good. don't waste your time with a consignment shop, that's just another huge waste of money. put it up on poshmark / vinted, craigslist (always bring a guy with you if you go meeting up with anyone just for safety), and truth be told.. it's far better to just buy something used for far less than a newer purse. something that has history in my opinion is worth far more. if I had to choose, I'd go with gold hardware but I love antiques and everything gold, I'm an old eastern european soul. if you have the receipt then you'll have all the chance in the world to sell the bag, if you don't, try to get ahold of it from where you purchased it.. if not and it is real, it may take you a while to sell it BUT it will sell. I used to make a lot of impulse buys (still sometimes do BUT for a huge, huge fraction less of what I used to spend); just love yourself and don't care what other people think. buy that expensive new stuff if you really feel the deep need to, when you've saved a lot of money and ARE making a lot of money so you don't just spend what you had and feel at a minus point. buy luxury things when you can't feel them weighing you down and so you're not in this predicament again of worrying about selling purses versus life's other many issues to worry over. saving sucks but it's a core thing to learn to make life a lot easier. good luck, love.

ALSO Mercari (my go to besides poshmark before I moved out of state) and DePOP are amazing apps to sell.

I just sold mine on Posh for I think 1200 with a 1k profit. It’s a beautiful bag, but the size was too big for me. If you don’t love it I would say sell it. They have a new bag the solerfino however you spell it that’s just adorable

As it fall, burgundy bag is a good time to sell. This is a great looking bag and this style is popular. I was going to sell my matte gold how/ grey and was quoted $1,700?? it's been a while. I decided not to sell as the person accidentally told me I could get $2K for it.
