Hi ladies, I need some opinions about my new Rogue 36. I’m coming up on the last week I can exchange it. It’s my second one, and it’s a lot better than the first one they sent, but I’m still not sure about it. I’ve had it stuffed and hanging for a couple of weeks, hoping some creases would get better, and for the most part, I think I can live with them now. There’s a part on the back that I’m not sure how to describe.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to make it better? Should I exchange it? Am I just being too picky? I can be super picky sometimes. They told me I’d have to pay return shipping since it would be my second exchange, and my concern is that I’ll just keep getting worse bags. I have wanted this bag for a loooong time, and purchased it for 70% off. Even so, it’s still a lot to spend on a bag to me. I’m tempted to just move my stuff into it already, but I need some opinions. I tend to carry everything I can fit into my bags, so I'm not sure any of this would even be noticeable.

I first posted this in a different thread, but I think I should’ve started my own. I can’t delete it now, sorry about that!

Top photo is the back, and I had taken out some of the stuffing before taking these:

I thought this style was boxier and more structured. I could be wrong though as I don’t own one. I think that’s the thing that would bother me more. The crinkles in the leather don’t bother me as much as the slouching, considering it’s still a new bag.

I thought the same thing, but after searching on here, I’ve seen a couple of comments from others about the 36 being more slouchy, due to the size and the weight of the handles. The only other Rogue I have is quilted nappa leather, so I can’t really compare them.

The Rogue 36 become super slouchy. I have the 1941 Saddle version with the gorgeous Mandarin suede. I haven’t carried it this year I don’t think but it’s my big smooshy beast and I love it.

I keep a hardcover book wrapped in thin bubble paper in each outer pocket for storage to help it keep some semblance of structure while not in use. This is a big bag that I carry almost as a tote; the thick, chewy, supple leather is the best part.

If you wanted structured, you definitely got the wrong bag. I’m a huge Rogue fan (I have 9 but am considering letting one go because I never reach for it - colour harder to match than I expected), but the only ones I would consider even moderately structured are the 25s. Two of my three 25s have tea roses, and that definitely helps them keep the front and back from slouching.

Sounds like this isn’t what you were hoping for; return it while you can. If you don’t love it now you never will.

I have to agree with Nancy, I love when the leather does this. It looks loved and lived in. I enjoyed a good structured bag, but prefer the supple leather feel.

Return it if you're not happy.

Thank y'all for the feedback! I actually do like slouchy bags, I just wasn't aware that this one would be one when I purchased it. I'm leaning towards keeping it, because after stuffing it some more yesterday, I don't really notice the creases. Also, if it's just going to end up that way anyway, maybe I should just keep the one I already have.
