...so with it being the first day of 2015 (Happy New Year, ladies and gents!), I was thinking about seemingly impossible things that I wish would happen in the coming year. Feel free to add your own thoughts. Please keep it kind and merry, so to speak - no bashing of particular designers (i.e, "I wish (this company) would drop off the face of the planet" is hurtful to others).

I wish...
1) Premier (and contemporary) designers would start increasing the quality of their bags instead of just their prices.
2) There was a LIMIT to the amount of price increases per year for each designer. (I mean, come ON! Give a girl or guy a chance!)
3) Every designer had at least a once-a-year sale with GOOD stuff available.
4) Beautiful, handcrafted, lesser-known bags would get their fair share of buyers.
5) I could finally believe in the brilliant idea that to love and admire a bag does not have to equal owning it.

I wish there were more small black leather bags with silver hardware to choose from. If I could have only one bag, it would be a simple-but-not-boring small black leather bag with silver hardware.

I have so many bags right now because I haven't been able to find that perfect bag. My mini duffle is close and I use it most of the time. It took 3 years to find it. In the meantime I accumulated other bags that I could use with certain outfits, but nothing as versatile as the small black bag with silver hardware.

Such a lovely thread, I'd like to wish a Happy New Year to you, and so refreshing to have a brand-bashing free zone.

1. AGREED! Me too.
2. Also agreed, I think the price increases will turn around and bite these companies in the ****.
3. Better still how about more honest prices rather than stick them sky high so they can discount to a more realistic level
4. Agreed.
5. You will

I'd just like to wish companies would stop chasing each other in design and marketing, take pride in their own heritage and cater to their own customers. We are not all the same, we don't live the same lives, vive la difference!

I agree, my wish would be that there are more bags to choose from with silver hardware :)

Happy New Year!

I think this year my dream is that everyone carries the bags/brands/designers that they love and enjoy free from concern of others' opinions and without judgement. I'm celebrating our similarities and our differences.

All these! Yessss!

Happy new year!

I wish that more companies would offer personalisation. Longchamp used to have a second modell (besides the le pliage), and LV isn't my cup of tea.

But I like everything personalized and monogramed, and I like the service that SF offers for the Vara/Varina!

I would like to be able to chose from the color of the HW, the leather and color, the length of the strap(s) etc pp. A girl can dream, right??

 100% agree, I don't think that's a lot to ask.

Newer companies are offering this more and more and it's a very good strategy for them and the customer as they get half/all the money up front and we get exactly what we want. They will have no unwanted stock and we will have something a little different to each other.

An order takes a little while but it only heightens the anticipation. I bought a couple of pairs of shoes from Gucci this year, one MTO and the other MTM and everything tells me that this is the way to go, they should extend it to bags as well.

In Italy, especially Florence lots of tiny bottegas offer monograming and engraving when you buy something. Ridiculous companies can't offer such a small service on new and existing products.

I agree with all of these, and I really want to achieve #5. :smile1:
