Hi all! I’m pretty new to the Chanel forum and wanted to get tips on somehow restructuring the body of my bag.

I have a series 12 Chanel Maxi SF in Caviar and the base of the bag seems to have deformed over prolonged storage without proper stuffing. I’m trying to fix it (or at least tried lol) with steam, heat, stuffing, and it’s still there. It reduced by a bit though. See photos attached.

(I tried heating by a blow dryer and a clothing iron with a towel in between)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated !

Stuff

Unless you have a perfect shaped pillow use clean, white, acid-free tissue and build into the right shape and size.

Most of these dents often come out just in use too.

Do NOT use a hair dryer or anything heated near the leather (just anticipating some of the weird tips I've seen on tif in the past for these kind of enquiries).

I deal with this quite a bit since I tend to purchase pre-loved. I generally overstuff the bag a lot for a while (maybe a month or so, and I let it be in storage only and no use, just letting it shape itself back), and then I'll start to just stuff it normally and begin to use it. They do reshape nicely without the use of anything else. Just stuff it inside with lots of old soft clothes, dustbags, etc., concentrating in the space you see the dent, but making sure the stuffing is even overall.
