Time between date code and Purchase???

If the date code reads CA0021, doesn't it mean u get the "deep" red colour of epi? since as far as I know, starts from 2005 epi has a new "bright" red colour for the bags, but not sure whether it applies to accessories too.
Correct me if I'm wrong, just a newbie of LV fans
