Hi all! I currently have the 5 motif onyx bracelet and want to add another one. I can’t decide whether I should add Carnelian, hammered gold or Tigers eye?

I absolutely fell in love with the tigers eye when I saw it in person, it shines differently depending on the light.

I don’t take off my Onyx when I shower or do activities so wanted the next bracelet to be worn in the same manner. So therefore my only concern is if I bought a coloured stone as opposed to hammered gold, I would have to remove both when entering a pool and or swimming at the beach.

Please provide your recommendations :)

Hammered gold would be the mist resilient. It’ll look great with onyx. I know carnelian is as tough as onyx, so that’s an option. I don’t know either would do in chlorine water? As for Tiger’s Eye, it is the prettiest of them all, much more in real life than photos do it justice, but I don’t know about it’s hardiness. Good luck, they are all gorgeous!

the hammered gold is definitely the safest option if you don't want to remove your jewelry. I personally would not swim in any of the colored stones. Chlorine can negatively affect the luster and quality of tiger's eye and other stones. All of your choices are beautiful options, but please do be mindful that some pieces are more sensitive to various elements. Good luck deciding!

My recommendation is to get the one you love the most, but avoid exposing them to pool & salt water, as well as other harsh chemicals. Tbh while hammered gold is much more hardwearing, the chlorine can still damage the gold pieces because of the alloys in it (it's 18k gold after all), causing it to tarnish and changing the metal color overtime. However, if you mind replacing the stones if they get damaged (few hundred dollars per motif), then by all means keep it on even when going into the pool.

Practicality-wise, the hammered gold is the safest best.
However, personal preference, among the three, I'd go for the tiger eye. :graucho: I like how it glows and it's something I don't see too often compared to MOP, onyx, and carnelian.
