hellooo tpfers!! okay, so i've fallen in love with the tiffany metro necklace in rg with pink sapphires. that mix of rg/pink sapph has been my favorite for a while, and i've always had a soft spot for tiffany's metro collection (i'm thinking of collecting the necklaces, one for each milestone haha). anyway, i had it bookmarked, and recently, i guess it retired or something, as it says it's not available (see below link)

i was soo sad!! i emailed tiffanys and they said that it's not available on the website but stores have some available for sale. THIS is where my dilemma kicks in. i LOVE this necklace... i have the money to buy it and it won't be a problem, however, it doesn't feel right to spend more money atm! i recently bought some LV and a new macbook, and honestly, as much as i want it, it seems frivolous to buy this on top of that when i just got so many nice things for myself recently. however, i'm scared that if i wait, the stock on this necklace would run out by the time i'm willing to spend.

that usually wouldn't be an issue... but... it's now retired. it's really recently retired, like, maybe a month, but i'm scared that if i don't get it now, i'll never get it. does anyone know how long discont items remain in tiffany stores? should i just bite the bullet or just wait it out and try my luck? i was gonna get it for myself on my bday in january, but that seems too long now :( anyone have advice/input?

Considering you have the $ for it, I would buy it, this way you don't miss out. I have no idea how to answer your other question about how long it will be available. I'm in kind of the same dilemma myself. I'm waiting for the Paloma Picasso Stella earrings to come back on the web site. They showed up recently but now they're gone again.

Since u do have the money for it n already plan to buy it in january anyway, i'd just buy it now and keep it till your birthday in jan before "gifting" it to yourself.

If u are very sure u want it then dont wait or u may kick yourself if all the stock is gone by then!

6 months from now are you going to be kicking yourself for not purchasing it when you had the chance?? If so, buy it now and tuck it away until January for your Bday.

Just wanted to say that I called on those PP Stella earrings and they're retired. I can't get them - so don't find yourself in this same situation where you're missing out. I'm kicking myself that I didn't order them the last time I saw them on the web site. Boo!

I would go for it! Otherwise you'll be kicking yourself a few months down the line, when stock is sold out at the stores, and you can't find one anywhere.

Just put yourself on a spending ban after this purchase, if that'll make you feel better ;)

I agree with everyone else buy it now before it's gone for good. tuck it away if you feel guilty for buying too many things but at least you'll have it!
this necklace sells really fast at my local tiffany! I've seen 3 transactions for this necklace just in the last few times I've visited 2 stores near me!

Buy it now while you can! I kicked myself for not buying the Tiffany diamond and platinum letter initial in the larger size before it was retired. They only sell the teeny-tiny version of this necklace now. I had to resort to eBay to find the letter I was looking for, and I was so ecstatic when I received it. I truly lucked out! It wasn't a good feeling to wonder if I would ever be able to get my hands on one, so buy your necklace now so you won't regret it later!

THANK YOU everyone haha!!! ladies you gave me the kick i needed. i definitely don't want to have to scramble to get this necklace from a third party after its retired! so today or tomorrow i'll try to stop by my local tiffany and see if they have it.

if they don't, does anyone know if they can have it shipped from another store? thank you xx

ahhhh update!!! so i called my local tiffanys and while they don't have any in stock, they said that since there's enough of the necklace around the country, they can have one shipped in any time within the next 1-3 months. i asked for them to bring one in and it'll be here within the next few weeks! yayyy C:

Glad to hear this is heading toward a happy ending! You made the right choice in getting it now rather than having to resort to trying to find it on ebay later.
