hi,
i wanted to buy a yellow gold T bracelet. i found one on ebay and purchased it. the seller shipped it to my friends address in the US. she will be visiting me in europe in fall and will bring it with her. i could return the bracelet within 30 days to the seller. but when i actually see it in person in fall it is too late for returning it.
i asked my friend to take a bunch of pictures so that i can tell if the bracelet is pink or yellow gold, because she can't tell the difference (she is not too much into jewellery). i will post the photos from the auction, and then the pics she sent me. it look so pinkish in her pics i think. is it possible to tell from her photos if it is yellow or pink gold? what can i tell her how to pose the bracelet so it is easier to tell? i want to make sure the seller sent me the right bracelet.
i had it authenticated from authenticate4u already, but they didn't tell me if it is pink or yellow gold.
thank you so much for your help!!!

I own a Tiffany T earrings in YG, as well as several other Tiffany pieces in YG and RG. This looks like YG to me. Have your friend place it beside one of her 18k YG jewelry on a white surface. That would make it earlier to compare.

thank you Perplexed. the cartier rose gold looks quite different from the tiffany in my opinion. i had this T in rose gold before and i didnt like the look of it together with other jewelery thats mostly yellow or white gold. i thought i might like it better adding a pink gold LOVE bracelet to it.so i was wearing my pink gold T when i was at cartier trying the rose and white gold LOVE bracelets. to me tiffany and cartier almost looked like two different kind of metals :)

thank you MatAllston. i think it doesnt look as much as my pink T, but the inside pictures have this weird pinky-ish coloration. also the seller seems to be a trustable person knowing what he is selling. but your idea is great, comparing the T next to other 18k gold jewelry. i am only afraid my friend doesn't own any gold jewelry, she's a rock'n'roll guitar player and all for accessoires she's wearing is leather and friendship bracelets, sometimes some silver jewelry :D

does it help to put the bracelet on a white surface and take pictures on a cloudy day outside? or is it better to take a pic with flashlight?

I am rather certain it is yellow gold. I have a Tiffany pink gold necklace and it is clearly pink. Cartier pink gold is much softer than Tiffany's and to my eyes, I have a hard time telling Cartier pink and yellow apart. Tiffany's pink has almost a bronze cast to it.

Ask your friend to take the picture outside on a cloudy day. If she lives near a Tiffany, she could bring the bracelet in to the boutique and ask Tiffany.

Tiffany's RG is pretty pink but after lots of wear, the color fades a bit. I own a few Tiffany RG pieces and my older RG piece has a lighter pink than my newer RG pieces.

thank you so much for your help and advice! she lives 1h from a Tiffany, so maybe she'll be willing to go in there and ask. I also asked her to take a photo on a cloudy day outside. I really hope this is finally the yellow gold one I admire so much :)
