Tiffany T Hoop or Cartier JUC Earrings?

If you are willing to sell the Tiffany hoops for the Cartier JUC but then asking about doing that, then:

1) Are you not as into your Tiffany hoops as before?
2) Are you so smitten with the Cartier JUC earrings that it's worth it to sell the Tiffany hoops for them?

Design-wise the Tiffany hoops are more minimalistic and versatile. I can see them going with pretty much everything and anything for any occasion.
The Cartier's JUCs are more distinct and edgy. For some people, depending on their aesthetic, it may look better with certain looks/styles. (of course, if you are happy to wear them regardless, then that doesn't matter that much  )

In addition:
3) For your current jewelry collection or your daily jewelry, does either one seem more compatible?
4) Are you looking for earrings that are more unique and stand out? Then the Cartier JUCs fit that more than the Tiffany hoops.

I don't own either.
Personally I am always a bit wary of solid gold earrings + the size of the earring. I don't like the feeling of weight pulling on my piercing holes. They have stretched a little over the years and I am conscious about them not getting more stretched out.
For me the Tiffany hoops would be light enough and I'd probably be okay with them. I've never tried on the Cartier JUCs but I can tell they will probably be heavier. (I have considered the smaller version, that is sold not as a pair but individually, for my upper lobe piercings, because I love how edgy it is.)

Hope that gives you some food for thought. If you've fallen in love with the Cartier JUC's and are not that into your Tiffany's anymore, then I don't see why not! :P

Thank you so much for raising such good points. I actually haven’t yet worn the hoops because my husband and I are still masking indoors and such a large earring poses complications when putting on and removing the mask. This could be a temporary issue, but I honestly don’t see a future where we wouldn’t mask in crowded spaces. We haven’t even caught a cold in 3 years! The JUC earrings seem much less likely to get caught in mask straps (although I haven’t tried them on).

Part if it is the novelty and uniqueness of the JUC. I hadn’t thought of how much more versatile and classic the hoops are. Our office is no longer business casual, so I now live in jeans and simple knit tops that would allow for edgy accessories. My current jewelry collection also would work well with both the hoops or JUC.

I haven’t yet tried on the JUC. Maybe they will be heavy and uncomfortable, and the dilemma will solve itself.

Thank you again for such insightful food for thought, @lill_canele! I’ll update once I decide!

I like the JUC earrings much better. I'm a fan of Cartier, so I may be a bit biased (I have the JUC ring and bracelet). The Tiffany earrings don't look like anything special to me, whereas the JUC earrings are so unique and special.
@Pop Art Suzy, thank you for the input. I am definitely drawn to the uniqueness of the JUC. My current jewelry is classic Elsa Peretti (bone cuff, DBTY, bean) and Cartier Love studs and JUC ring; I love how iconic and storied those pieces are. The T hoops don’t have that history behind them.

That is so hard because I actually love both of these and have looked at them extensively! The Cartier is a little edgier while Tiffany a bit more classic. I'm no help, lol!

I finally wore the Tiffany hoops and really enjoyed them, so they’re staying. As many of you said, they are indeed classic. I also like that the T hoops have sharp edges and aren’t rounded and have the T detail by the earlobe.
I also tried on the JUC pair at the KOP Cartier, and they’re quite heavy! I may get a pair of the smaller single JUCs eventually but won’t be selling my hoops.
Thanks everyone for the helpful input!

I am partial to the JUC hoops.. on other people. But yeah, I am more of a subtle jeweler girl so I would probably get more use out of the Tiffany hoops. Lol so I am no help.

However, when you describe your office attire, I think the JUC would look so chic.

I have the Tiffany hoops in rose gold and they're one of my faves! So stylish and easy to wear. I also cannot wear heavy earrings, they bother me. Glad to hear that you're keeping the Tiffany hoops. Enjoy!

Well, update: I tried wearing them again, and they drove me crazy with taking the mask on and off. I sold them after all, so I unfortunately can’t do a mod shot. I’m sorry! But I did have the plain, nonpave version. Good luck with your decision!

Happy for you OP for making a decision, those Tiffany hoops are beautiful!
I just added the JUC pair and I am thrilled about how it looks!
Just thought I’d share here for future reference

These look great on you! I tried on the Tiffany hoops again and had such trouble with my mask that I sold them after all and did buy a pair of the JUC singles. I love them! Far, far easier with wearing a mask because they’re a closed circle. Congrats on your beautiful JUCs!

Did you ever decide on this? I am debating on the juc earrings but am conflicted if they last.
