I don't own it yet (hopefully soon!) I've tried it on at the store and it's incredibly gorgeous. I should have taken a picture of it on my own hand while in the store, but I hadn't thought of it until I was already home.

I searched online and found a pic of it on someone else's hand. Not sure of the specs, but it looks about the same size that I tried on - prob a .68-.70 center.

BTW that link is from a blog that did a review for the Tiffany Yellow diamond line that I found while researching the Sola.

If you want to know pricing, I've talked extensively with my SA and have a few details of what Tiffany & Co has available for the Fancy Yellow (I didn't do any pricing for fancy intense), and I've also been only looking for 1 carat center weight and below:

.68 Fancy Yellow IF with 72 round diamonds .35 total for $9450
.75 Fancy Yellow (not sure of clarity) for $10,200
.84 Fancy Yellow IF for $11,000
.92 Fancy Yellow (not sure of clarity) for $13,500
1 carat starts at $15k

Fancy Intense is a higher color grade than Fancy Yellow, so the prices will be more per carat for FI. Also, my SA said the lowest clarity for the yellow diamonds is VVS2, but I also talked to another sales associate at another Tiffany & Co. and he told me the lowest color grade is SI1 (but I trust my SA more than the other because while he was helping me, he didn't seem like he knew what he was doing).

kohl thanks for the information. the prices quotes are super helpful, I'm looking to get around 2-2.5. I have seen the necklace version of the ring in person and I loved it but they didn't have the ring in at the time. The ring is absolutely gorgeous from the pictures I have seen. Was the one you tried on in the store fancy yellow or fancy intense yellow?

No problem. I tried the fancy yellow in the sola design and the fancy intense in the bezet design. Honestly, I couldn't tell much of a difference between the two! Both are very saturated, rich yellows. Maybe because my carat sizes were too small? I'm sure you can tell more of a difference in the bigger 2-2.5 carat weight.

But there is a definite price difference between the two colors. For instance:
.84 Fancy Yellow IF is $11,00 while a .85 Fancy Intense VVS1 is $12,700.

I'm assuming prices will go up exponentially at the 2 carat range, but then again I don't work at Tiffany so I haven't a clue. Have you tried calling customer service? They are extremely helpful and assisted me in pricing a few rings in the carat range I wanted.

Hello! Glad to see yellow diamond is getting hot! I've got the set, halo one with 2 rounds diamond around centre stone! They are absolutely stunning! Two points I would like to add: 1. If you have the choice, definitely go for the Fancy Intense. The two colors won't look too much different in the store under special lights, but you will definitely see quite big difference in normal light. 2, yellow diamond is all about color! Clarity is not that important, I've saw most tiffany yellow diamond with VS2 or SI. I would absolutely encourage you to get a yellow diamond from tiffany!!! Absolutely stunning!

I know that T&Co is testing the market with the new yellow diamond collection so that current prices for these pieces are at an introductory rate right now. Anyone know when this "special" pricing will be over?

^I don't think so. Good citrine is almost like a madeira yellow/orange while the diamond looks to be a sunny yellow. Plus citrine is never going to sparkle like diamond.

Exactly! Diamonds have so much depth to them - they look like a bucket of crushed ice, and the facets give the diamond so much extra sparkle.

I went back to Tiffany today and had my SA show me the color differences between Fancy Vivid, Fancy Intense, and Fancy Yellow. Fancy Vivid and Fancy Intense were pretty similar in color - both were richly saturated yellows. Some vivids, my SA told me, are so yellow, they have an almost orange hue to them. Fancy Yellows, on the other hand, were lighter and softer in color - almost lemony.

I'm now torn between what colors I want!!! I also checked on prices with my SA and he said there most likely will be one at the end of the fiscal year (which is end of January for them), but when and how much, they will not know.

I hope to get one by the end of next month! I'll post pictures when I do!!!
