(Happy Mother's day everyone!)

About 3 years ago we bought our E-ring and wedding band sets and received a card that says we get complimentary cleaning, pen refills, watch band replacements, engraving.."preferred" something, I forget..

After getting our rings and a few pieces cleaned we asked about finally getting our bands engraved and they said they would have to charge $10 per letter now, and that we haven't purchased enough the past year to get the benefits anymore.

What is the spending requirement to keep the benefits? I ha no clue about this and she didn't explain it because of the mother's day rush.

TIA!

I think it is $3k a year. Though if it is a platinum and diamond wedding band, they may just do it. When we purchased my plain platinum wedding band, they offered to take my e-ring and polish, add sizing bumps and throw in a cleaning kit for free.

From my experience, platinum and diamond jewelry is treated VERY differently than silver.

IIRC Tiffany's doesn't issue the physical card anymore, but they still keep track of your spending.
To reach the base level of "silver" you must spend $10,000 in a rolling 36 month period. In order to continue recieving the benefits you need to spend $10k in the next 36 months.
I believe the other levels are "gold", "platinum" and "diamond."

If you purchase fairly regularly and develop a good relationship with an SA you will get these benefits anyways. ;)
I hope this helps!

My DF and I have purchased quite a few items from Tiffany in the past year, including my e-ring (which is def above $10k) and I have not heard of this preferred benefits thing. I also didn't get a cleaning kit. . .that makes me sad =(

Back in 2006, when we purchased my ering, they issued a physical "Tiffany register" card. I believe the benefits included free engraving, pearl restringing and a few other things. Free cleaning of silver was not included.

We upgraded last year and DH inquired about the program. The SA mentioned that they no longer give out the cards, but their computer system keeps track of if you receive these benefits based on your purchase history.

Every once in a while when I go to CS, they will give me the home cleaning solution for free (not too often, though).

The Tiffany benefits program really does nothing for me because I don't routinely need things engraved, nor do I have pearls to be re-strung. =)
