I ordered the Tiffany Notes letter necklace and the Tiffany Notes pendant

and they arrived today in the mail. I was disappointed at how flimsy the letter necklace was and how "lackluster" the Tiffany Notes pendant was. I have the Tiffany Notes bracelet and it has substance, I don't have to worry about it snapping but that was my primary concern with both of these necklaces. I was really excited about these pieces but when they arrived, they were just....blah. I don't have a T&CO store close to me but I am thinking of sending the 2 necklaces back and possibly getting the mini bean. I dunno. Is the bean necklace hearty feeling? Could I sleep in it if I forgot to take it off without the chain snapping?

Bummer that you don't like your new pieces! I don't have these necklaces to compare to my bean, but the chain on my bean feels sturdy and safe. I have the medium bean.

^^Would you feel comfortable wearing it to sleep or pulling a sweater over your head without the fear of it catching and snapping? On both of these pieces I purchased, I am almost scared to even put them on for fear of breaking the chain as I fasten them around my neck.

I think I know what you mean... I have the peretti open heart in the mini size and the medium size. The medium came with a good solid chain (still dainty and pretty but not super light weight), but the mini's chain is SUPER delicate. I would be nervous about it snapping too. In fact I actually think that it did because when I found it a little while ago in my jewelry box, I'd found I'd paired the heart with a different silver chain that I think I got on ebay... and there was a VERY fine Tiffany's chain broken in the bag. (it's from an ex from years ago so I haven't looked at it in a while). It was so fine that you almost couldn't see the holes through the little links! Pretty but yes, very delicate.

I also have the "e" initial necklace (the ones that are just the initials, no disk) in size large and that one came with a really good strong chain.

If you were in the store you could certainly order a stronger one... maybe call them and ask for the next weight chain?

When I first saw both of these pieces online I loved them until I actual saw them in the store....they did nothing for me and the chain they come with feels like I could snap it without even trying...

Compared to the bean- which I didnt like at first online but in person was lovely and something I could wear everyday, I think the bean would be a better purchase IMO

I'm not sure the size of the bean I saw but it looked like a decent size (not tiny or big) probably a medium - I would say go for the exchange

I have the mini bean in 18k gold and I wear it for weeks on end. No troubles!

Sorry about the disappointment; I know it sucks to be so excited for something and then a big letdown.

I think the Tiffany notes pendant is really cool but I agree with you on the note's initial pendant, it's so boring. I think a lot of people worry that Tiffany's chains might break but they are really strong in my opinion.

^^Tyler-what are your thoughts on the bean mini chain? The notes initial is going back for sure, I am just debating on whether to keep the Tiffany notes pendant or exchange it for the mini bean...

I wouldn't sleep in it because the chain is so short, but that's just me. No worry about breaking it.

I really like the bean but I like the notes pendant more just because it's newer. Both are nice though, also it's hard to compare them because the bean is more elegant and the notes pendant is more casual.
