Tiffany earrings question

Hi,

I have really been wanting a pair of the tiffany sparkler earrings, just not sure whether to go for green quartz or amethyst. Citrine is not my thing. I have dark brown hair and fair skin, mostly wear black, grey, sometimes pink, don't do a lot of bright colors, I wear mainly platinum/silver/white gold. Only yellow gold pieces are love cuff and helen ficalora necklace.

Give me your opinion and why, thanks!

Totally agreed. The green will most likely be washed out and not very noticeable.

I think they would both be lovely. I have the prasiolite (I think it's the same thing as green quartz, but they seem to changed the naming of it in their more recent description) and similar coloring (dark brown hair + light/medium skin tone) and wear blacks, grays, etc. I have pear shaped amethyst studs too (non-Tiffany) which I like as well. I do think the amethyst would probably stand out more but I love the watery look of the green and the way it reflects light. Green might be more summery and casually elegant.

Thank you guys for your replies! I am torn between the two, I think the green would be a good neutral but I am wondering if the amethyst would be better with my skin tone and would show up better just like you guys said. Then I wondered if they amethyst would go well with the black that I wear a lot, I go back and forth!

I love the green quartz! I'm just not into purple for anything though.

Have you tried citrine on? I thought citrine was not my thing until I tried it on and it looks way better than the amethyst on me. Citrine is a very versatile color as well.

I haven't tried the citrine, I just typically never go toward the really warm colors like that
