I recently tried on a DBTY bracelet when I was in Vegas. I love how delicate this bracelet is. I was ready to purchase the sterling silver 3 diamond version - but the 7 inches is to big for my wrist. They said it could be resized - but in Vegas they had to ship to to NY and it would take 2 weeks. Not too helpful since I was only there for the weekend. Now I can purchase it here - but it's $60 more and I have no idea what they will charge to resize it. Now I'm thinking it would probably be way cheaper to buy a similar style elsewhere. Anyone have any advice?

Whiteflash makes gorgeous DBTY bracelets from their ideal cut ACA melee. They will make any size you like and also can use larger diamonds, too.

Brian Gavin diamonds will also make any size you like from their ideal cut melee.

Whiteflash's diamonds look slightly larger for the size of the diamond, but BGD have slightly more delicate halos. They are both beautiful. If you go with BGD- don't get the preset ones- get the custom.

Another vote for the BGD one, their bezel is way nicer I think. It is much finer looking. I think WF uses shallower stones to get the spread for the carat weight, similar to how Tiffany's does it. BGD just uses the actual carat weight stone.

You could have purchased from Vegas then when u got back home, go thru the Tiffany's there to have it resized... bummer hey!!

We thought of that - but we weren't sure how much it would have cost to be resized. They had no idea at the store. It looked like alot of work.....just didn't want to buy it and then find out it would be another $200 to resize. Interestingly enough, the SA said they do sell smaller sizes of the bracelet in Japan.

Thanks! Off to take a look :smile1:

Honestly, I think they were just being lazy. From my experience costumer service in Vegas Tiffany's are subpar unless you are dropping major $$$. Although you might of had a new SA because its a simple look up on the register. From my experience re-sizing to be smaller is usually less than $60. Sometimes they do have to send things out for an estimate but the service center in NJ is very good about confirming price before anything is moved forward with. Also no matter what Tiffany you go to, it has to be sent to NJ for resizing they don't do anything but basic cleanings in store.

It is odd though that you said it was cheaper in Vegas than near you. Are you sure it was the same size diamonds in the DBY bracelet? There are 3 different sizes if I recall correctly and Tiffany's pricing is standard across the board in all their stores.

But if its going to be that much of a hassle for you I would go with BGD since it can be customized.

I'm in Canada - so the price point is higher, plus the taxes are higher.

I have never once paid for something to be shortened at Tiffany's (I shorten all my necklaces to 15" and all my bracelets I shorten by 1/2") and I had had 8 pieces altered. It really depends on which SA you go to.

Yes I suppose so. A while back I was considering a bracelet n the SAs offered to shorten it for me for free.
