Hi ladies,

do you like the Tiffany Classic Setting or the Novo better?

What are the reasons for your preferences? Do you even own one of these rings?

I like both rings, but have so far only tried on the classic setting. I roughly know what to look for in round diamonds but what about cushion cut ones? Are there any special criteria, does the color show more, etc.?

There's no true cut quality criteria for cushions, so those are a pick by visual only kind of thing. No set dimensions, no set cut standards at all really. Color might show a little more in larger stones than smaller because of HOW they are cut, but that's across the board in cushions.

Rounds will face up larger than cushions and not give you as much finger coverage. The only way to get a little more finger coverage to some effect is to find a more rectangular one and wear it vertically.

As for my preference, I like the classic setting with a round better.

Thanks for your answers, ladies!

Thanks ame!

If you have a 1.3 ct RB and a 1.3 ct cushion, how much smaller will the cushion look, e.g. will it give you the same finger coverage like, say, a 1 ct RB?

Well, it will depend if the cushion is square or rectangular. There are no set dimensions on a cushion. Assuming an average square cushion around the same carat weight, probably more like a .85-.9ct round. Cushions are a taller stone than a round, so you lose a lot of the spread to the bottom.

Well, I'm not sure - what shape does the Novo cushion have?

Wow, that is quite a sacrifize in size... I think I'd better stick to the classic setting in that case!

I have been debating the two for the last 6-8 months. My SO likes the Novo better for the bling factor, but i like the solitaire better for the fact that it is classic, and my job...gloves on and off don't bode so well for pave! Most times i won't wear the e ring to work anyways, and lets face it...the novo band alone leave much to be desired:faint:

The solitaire is classic and you can match it with any wb you want! Also it faces up bigger as others mentioned. I know in my size range this was also SUPER important to me. I have avg size fingers (size 6) - the 1ct novo vs 1ct solitaire...i really noticed quite a difference!

Hi Ladies,

I have exactly the same question: Tiffany Classic or Novo? :smile1: Just registered here.
I love both and can't decide. I like the Classic for sparkling and simplicity but the Novo has something special. I prefer 4 porn vs 6. :smile1:
Is the Novo not too much with the matching Novo wedding band?
What do you think about Cartier, is it better than Tiffany?

Hi Ladies,

I like the simplicity and sparkling of the Classic and it can be easily combined with different Tiffany bands. But I prefer 4 porn instead of 6.
There is something special about the Novo but I am not sure if it's too much with the Novo band.
Please advice and post your photos.
