My boyfriend bought me an Elsa Peretti Open Heart pendant, silver in small 6 months ago. I love it so he also bought me the medium size on an 18 inch chain. Both are from the London branch on Bond Street.

I have noticed the engraving/tag shapes next to the clasps are different. The 16 inch chain has oval tags with the designers name etc and the 18 inch chain has tags that are oblong/rectangular, also with the designers name etc, the font is slightly different though.

Do they keep changing the design of their chains? I know it sounds a bit odd but im always worried about fakes etc.

Did you buy them at Tiffany's? If they are, then do not worry about it. If they are not, then you should post images on the authenticating thread. I have to say that I do own many open heart pieces that I bought at Tiffany's, and the clasps are either oval-like or bar-like. I hope this was helpful.

I have the same open heart pendant, in silver, size medium on a 18" chain. It was purchased in 2004 and the tags next to the clasp are oblong, but not rectangular. They are like very oblong ovals... if that helps? It was purchased at Tiffanys....
