As there are not many people reviewing about lifting procedure here, I guess I will review mine. I had my thread lift surgery back in April in Opera. My friend asked me to accompany her for a face bone consultation in 3-5 clinics in Seoul, so I was thinking about getting something less complicated on myself.

I have a small face already so I was not interested in having the same procedure with my friend’s. But compared to my age that still can be considered young (I’m 26 this year), I already had some slightly sagging skin around my cheeks which I was concerned about. Of course inserting a foreign material into my face was a little bit scary to me but apparently, many girls around me have this procedure done. So I thought if the price is good, I will take the chance.

Consultation day

First, I’d like to mention that I loved the ambiance of the clinic. It was spacey and bright but somehow it did not give me that “hospital” vibe that usually makes people nervous while they are waiting for their names to be called. Secondly, I liked how the consultant and the doctor did not push me to have any other additional surgery because most of the consultants at the other clinics we visited recommended me to have my eyes or nose done (They said I have multiple creases on my eyes and low nose bridge which would be great if they got fixed, which of course, I rejected lol) as well. The doctor listened to what I want and when I asked about MACS procedure whose price is more expensive than thread lifting, he said I do not need it yet. I appreciated that.

Surgery Day

After completing the payment, the consultant made sure some things such as my height/weight, alcohol limit, fasting hours etc before she proceeds to the surgery preparation. She took some pictures of me with different angles and I was glad to know that I’m able to meet the doctor once more to talk about the surgery and expected result. The consultant checked me one more time before we get into the surgery room and dang… I totally forgot to remove my nail polish lol I felt bad because it was clearly written on the pre-surgery instruction but she kindly helped me to wipe my nail polish off using some nail polish removal and tissue. I was super nervous as soon as I laid down on the bed in the surgery room and the injection on the calf area was painful. But after the anesthesia kicked in, I didn’t feel any more pain. I woke up after around 2 hours with a super dry throat. The nurse and the consultant helped me to move to the other room so I could take a rest and I stayed in the clinic for 2 more hours before I could go back to hotel.

1 month later

There are some swelling in the first week but it was okay. Probably because thread lifting was not a really major procedure. Cause I saw my friend, she swelled a lot in the first four days after surgery. There is also no specific diet to do, I could eat anything but I stopped to drink alcohol and smoking cigarettes for at least 1 month. When I compared the pictures of me before and after surgery, I could see the result of this thread lifting is natural yet significant. I was told that the sutures will be producing new collagen cells under your skin as they dissolve, so I will keep an eye on how will the result be after a few months. For now, I’m really happy with the outcome. Many people said I look prettier and they thought I use some sort of expensive skin care. Thanks opera!
