Hi all, as you may have noticed, been going through a bit of a conundrum after I got my small diamond love and panthere bangle. I am leaning towards selling my rose gold love to put towards the pave panthere ring. For someone who has a small cartier collection, do you think I shouldn't get two from the same collection? I know the love is difference since that collect lends itself to multiple stacking. But with the other collections I feel like its a little different?

I was thinking of the bangle on my left arm (I am thinking small love x panthere x resetting my diamond bangle into a bezel setting...) but the ring for my right to wear with a (potential) watch and a bracelet. On that hand I was thinking of doing an emerald ring too to play up the eyes of the panthere/emerald is my favorite and i've wanted an emerald piece for quite some time.

I hate buying and reselling so whatever I sell my love bangle for, I would expect to keep the ring life long. any advice you can offer or mod pics if you have both would be most helpful thank you!!

I think I understand what you mean. I also find that love collection is unique in that it's easily stackable and doesn't get overwhelming even if you're wearing multiple pieces. I agree that this is not the case with other collections. Generally speaking, I think 2 is the maximum number of pieces from the same collection I'd wear simultaneously. For example, I have a small JUC bracelet, a regular JUC ring and a pave JUC necklace, but I never wear all these pieces at the same time. Obviously, it's totally subjective, but I feel good wearing any two of these simultaneously, but not all three. I am considering purchasing a regular JUC bracelet as well and I don't think that all the items need to be worn all the time, it's good to have options for different combos. In your case, I think there's no problem wearing a panthere bracelet and a panthere ring together. It's only two pieces from the same collection, so it's not too much even for someone quite minimalistic.
I might be wrong, but I feel like because you asked this question you're fairly minimalistic with your jewelry. SO, I will add that panthere design is quite prominent and IMHO does not go well with other strong designs. When I wear my panthere bracelet, I avoid wearing anything else with a strong design, e.g. JUC. I think panthere looks great on it's own or paired with something simple like love.

Save 3 pieces, I think all the Cartier I have are Trinity, and I often wear multiple pieces at a time. I know what you mean in terms of more figurative v abstract designs (like Love or Trinity) but IMO a couple of Panthere in different sizes/categories will look very discerning and chic.

Conventionally, it's was traditional to gift parures (sets). The pieces didn't all have to be worn together, but whatever fitted the costume and occasion. These sets were treated as heirlooms. It's more usual these days to sell 'sets' or lines in a mix/match manner, mainly because it breaks up the cost, but the idea (the jewellers have) of various lines is for the giver/buyer to create have 2/3/4 piece sets so the function would be the same.

I don't think someone has ever gotten me or my train of thought the way you did right here. 😂😂😂 This is exactly what I mean. And yes I am fairly minimalistic and this is exactly what I was wondering thank you! Your JUC collection sounds lovely. The necklace is on my list too.

Such good points thank you!

Ok so I’m trying to follow…
You have a Panthere bracelet and you’re worried about adding a ring?
Hey Swanky, yes, explained better below. I didn't know if it would look odd with how striking and non geometric the panthere collection is versus how we stack for say, love or trinity. Didn't know if it would take away from either piece or not look right

I don’t think so, I think most the collections can be blended!

My jaw just dropped. this is STUNNING. That bangle is on my dream wishlist. How often do you wear both of these pieces?
Unfortunately not that often because on my other hand I do have the 8 bracelets so the Panthère does not fit there and on my other arm there is always one of my watches.

btt I think they fit nicely together, pavé or not - however, I would not mix metals

8 sounds like a gorgeous wrist armor!! I did the yellow gold plain bangle. Eventually one day I would like to get the pave version but I was thinking of pairing it with the white gold pave panthere so the diamonds pop. is that a mismatch to you?

I think if you had pics for us to see we can tell you! But ultimately get what you like. It’s not too much as (I commented on your previous posts), I also considered a similar combo!! But if you over stack it could be overwhelming for some.
