Comfy. I have a pair of hoops with this exact closure and it does not bother me at all.

Totally comfy. I've had tons of earrings with that closure and never had a problem. They're better than many of the spring-type levers which can press on the lobes. Plus, you never have to look for backs!

I was afraid there would be excess pressure on my ear lobe so hearing they are comfy is a good thing

My diamond hoops have this closure...love it. Also I think they "lift" the hoop, no drooping. Does that make sense?

I have a few pairs of hoops with closures like the ones you posted. I love mine, super comfy to wear...and like Jennifer_C said- no searching for backs! I also agree with skyqueen; these type of closures do seem to lift the hoop a little bit.

this is an omega earring back. it's comfy because it distributes the weight on your lobe, & it's very secure. you can have it adjusted if it fits too tightly. like skyqueen said, that type of back makes sure the earring sits front & center on your lobe too.
