are these classic enough to last me several years? which do you prefer?

I prefer the second one, Beatrix flats.

I like the second ones and I wouldn't really consider these classics. They are more trendy looking. I like them though.

2nd. 1st is a bit too literally ballet shoe with the pink.

I definitely prefer the Beatrix shoe. It's a bit of a funky twist on a classic shoe I think. I'm sure you'd get plenty of wear out of them
