Not sure if I am posting this in the correct place but wanting to hear what you all think of the brand Sandro when it comes to bags? I had never heard of them before but saw this cute little velvet bag and I would love to know if any of you lovely people have had any experience with this bag or one of their other ones. I have wanted a velvet bag for the longest time but just can't bring myself to get a gucci marmont or ysl sunset which have always been my velvet dreams given the potential wear and tear that velvet can or can't handle. Do you think this one is trying too hard to look like a marmont?

I think it’s a lovely bag, SugarCloud.
I don’t think it looks like a Marmont.
Sandro clothes are pretty good quality and the brand is very popular in France.

Thanks for the input!! I do really like it  I also found this other brand called Pinko, and they have a nice velvet bag as well. The only thing is I wish the strap was adjustable. I wonder if I could find a shorter strap that would match well, I much prefer a shorter strap for an evening bag.

I love Pinko bags, I have seen them in real life, SugarCloud, and they are beautifully made.
As for the strap, I have seen ladies carrying evening bags as croosbodies.
Very trendy….

I love the design and found them quite comfortable when trying them in store. I am also looking as an alternative at the Moon bag from Vanessa Bruno . They don't have the front pocket, but I find the design lighter. Sales are starting next week in France, but some are already discounted in the pre-sale.

In case this matters, the VB bags are made in Italy (leather and linen versions) or Madagascar (for the raffia version) whereas the Sandro bags are made in China (I don't know if that's for all of them, but that was the case for the ones I looked at in store.

Oh thanks!! I LOVE the VB bag but no back pocket is a deal breaker for me (need quick access to my phone) the larger Moon bag has a back pocket but just too big for me!!! But Italy made is so appealing!! @lemon42 thanks for the reply!!

@SugarCloud did you end up getting the Sandro Yza bag?? I'm also looking at this bag in quilted leather (or the MK Soho bag). Would love to know your thoughts/review on the Yza if you got it!! Thanks

Hi, no I didn't end up getting it. Life just got in the way and I ended up putting things on hold. One thing I am wary of is I have since seen a few preloved ones and they show quite a bit of scratching on the circle clasp/lock, and I know that that would eventually bug the heck out of me. I might reconsider it the future :)

Yea, the sizing seems to be the issue with this bag. The nano is really small (but so cute, I might cave this sale season), the normal is a bit big and the mini only exists in raphia. Hopefully the fall collection will improve a bit on those regards.
