Hi everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone here has thoughts or experience with the Hermès Kelly Multipocket. I haven’t seen much discussion about it, and I’m curious!

I personally really like the look—it feels like a fresh, modern take on the classic Kelly. I’ve heard it’s technically part of the wallet or SLG line rather than the handbag line, and that it might’ve even been intended with men in mind. But I think it’s super versatile.

I was recently offered one in Gris Misty with PHW and took the plunge. It’s such a cool, unexpected piece. Now I’m wondering—do you think this style is here to stay? Or is it more of a novelty release?

Would love to hear your thoughts if you’ve seen it, have one, or are just intrigued by it too!

Thanks for posting @heytae. When I first saw a photo, my thought was I liked it. Still be interested but need to see in person. Does one of the pockets hold a phone? How many compartments are there? Forget if there's a pocket on the side(s)? TIA!!

Yes, there are 4 pockets in total. The top compartment has two pockets, which the largest one is the same size with the bag. This largest pocket can hold phone, passport, etc.

I have a soft spot for trunks (LV petite malle, Goyard saigon trunk) so when I first saw it, I think I will like it. Maybe it was love at first sight bc it didn’t look like I could put a phone inside but since it can, that changes my view. My other concern was weight and edgewear.

How much is it? How does it feel held as a clutch? Not sure of the strap is detachable. What is the strap drop? Would love to see modshots if you would. 🙏

I totally get the love for trunk-style bags—I’m the same way! So when I first saw the Kelly Multipocket, I was instantly drawn to it. It felt like love at first sight, even though at first I thought it wouldn’t fit a phone. Once I realized it does, that totally changed the game for me.

I recently got offered one in Gris Misty with PHW and ended up going for it. I picked mine up in Asia and the price was around $8,000 USD, but I’m not 100% sure about U.S. pricing—it might be a bit different.

The strap isn’t fully detachable, but it’s cleverly designed so you can adjust it to carry the bag vertically or horizontally, which is a nice touch. It also works well as a clutch—structured but not awkward to hold. It’s definitely more solid than a typical wallet, but I didn’t find it too heavy. That said, I do have the same concern as you about potential edge wear, especially with the corners and little pockets.

I’ll try to take some mod shots soon if that helps!

Thank you for your insight. Happy you got offered and even better that you love it. Could you share a pic of the back of the bag and how the strap works? TIA and enjoy!

Saw this on display and asked to see it out of curiousity, given that it's a new item. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it is despite not liking how it looks.🫣 Whether it's here to stay would depend on how well it sells, would be my guess. Enjoy your new bag, @heytae!
