For anyone who owns this wallet please share your views. I'm contemplating getting one but just wondered how the Taurillon leather wears, does the hardware on the front scratch easily? How easy is it to use? Etc etc....
They seem quite pricy so wondering if its worth it, TIA :flowers: :flowers:

I’ve had my wallet for I think 3-4 years now. Still smells new with minimal wear on the leather. The hardware does get scratched, but nothing excessive.

I should note, I rotate my wallets. I try not to use anything more than 2-3 months at a time.

I have had the Capucines compact wallet in noir rose. The Taurillon leather is very good quality, no wears on the corners. The only sign of wear was in the inside of the wallet where the bottom from the closure pushes in the counterpart. ( I hope you understand my very bad English :-(
The hardware wasn't scratched at all. The card slots are a bit tight!
I have sold it because I have bought an other wallet.

Thank you thats good to know  I'm the same I rotate my wallets too. Is yours a light or dark colour? The one I'm considering is lighter.

You speak & write very good English:smile: Thank you all is sounding good so far. I hope you got a good price when you sold it.

I have an obsession with SLG's so tend to always be buying or selling them to fund new ones. This particular wallet is quite expensive so I worry I will lose quite a bit if I do ever decide to sell it in the future.

Mine is darker (marine rouge).

I own 2 light-colored leather pieces from LV, both light taupe colors. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend their light-colored leathers, especially for wallets. Both of them have color transfer. Despite my best efforts to clean them, there are still faint foreign colors.

Ah really thats good to know. Thanks for that. Probably not a good idea then.

Bugger I got worried it would sell out so placed the order a couple of hours ago & they don't allow you to cancel, which I think is absolutely mad :cursing:

I've been using my capucines wallet in galet color with the chocolate brown interior exclusively as my one and only wallet now for a few years and it is still in wonderful condition. Every now and then I get tempted to buy another wallet but none of them are as beautiful or practical as this one I used daily. Don't plan on switching out of it or buying another one anytime soon.

Thank you very much! :-)

Yes, you're right, the resale value of the Capucine wallet is really bad (I think also for the Capucines bags).

Thanks for your reply. The Galet colour is indeed beautiful & very classy. Good to know its holding up well.

I guess I will just wait for mine to arrive & then decide whether or not its a keeper.

Yes thats what I was afraid of. Maybe I should look for a pre loved one :confused1:

If you can get a preloved one I would do that! I find the price of the Capucines wallet ( and the bags!) a bit too high, but it's really a nice wallet.
And for the color: I have had a Muria bag in Galet. This color is sensible for color transfer (Jeans etc), and I would be careful with different inside leather linigs from your bags.

I adore the Muria bag. She's on my Wishlist! I will have a look pre-loved. Although I doubt I will find the colour I wanted pre-loved. Think it maybe fairly new, not sure.
Maybe its time they develop a light coloured leather that is resistant to colour transfer!

I was considering this wallet in Stardust Lila's last year, but like you was put off by the price, light colour, and fear of hardware scratching. I ended up not buying it and am.ok with that.

I hope you like yours, though! I agree that it would be poor resale value . I also didn't want its hardware to scratch my bag linings or other objects in my bag.

Your English is perfect, I understood perfectly and that's a really good point!
