Thoughts on Gucci Horsebit 1955 small top handle bag?

It is super similar to an alma so I think if I keep it I’ll probably get rid of my Epi alma bb.

I don't have an Alma, but I have 3 Hermes Bolides which are also very similar, Bolides in the smaller sizes don't have the double zip (but I think the largest does).

I have 2 previous versions of Gucci's domed bag, a red suede and leather about 15 years old - it has a chain where yours has a house-bit but a similar size to yours and the double zip, and a bigger blue python Cathrine from around 10 years ago that has a horse-bit but less noticeable. I also have a shoulder version of the latest 1955.

That makes 5 domed bags, Red 27cm (I think) Read 35cm, Gold (tan) 35cm, Aviation Blue 40cm, Brown 45cm. - I like them because they're light and things keep organised. Even when you don't do them up they stay closed. I like the short handles and that they go from very casual to smart, even formal or business.

I love all mine, which is why I've kept them (obviously) why are you doubting your choice?

Yours in black leather seems the ultimate of classics.

I think I’m just on the fence because it is so similar to the Alma.

I’m really trying to cut back as I tend to buy multiples when I love something but I don’t like having items sitting in my closet unused…which does happen to me when I have too many similar bags.

However when I look at this bag, I do love it. I think it will be one that I use for years to come. I like that it is a bit bigger than the Alma, but not as wide.

I guess I’m also a little shocked that I don’t really see it on this forum.

I think it's a beautiful bag. I've been eyeing the red version of this bag for a long time. It's a beautiful red. I'm not sure why we don't see it on this forum, but I think I might prefer it to the Alma bb. If it were me, I would absolutely keep it.
