Thoughts on the Grenelle passport cover? I love the different color options, but the pricing ($700 USD currently) is much higher than comparable passport covers from other luxury brands (e.g. Louis Vuitton, priced at $370 USD for their monogram canvas passport cover). Does anyone have the Grenelle passport cover / have thoughts on whether the quality and style are worth the higher price tag? Thank you in advance!

Functionally speaking it’s just a passport cover with some card slots, nothing all that special. You can find the same thing anywhere. Just comes down to how much you like Goyard and their colours. Personally I love Goyard so I enjoy mine quite a bit. But yes definitely get it in Europe if you can to save money!
I have a blue one from years ago. I agree, I just wanted something in the bright blue, I was in Paris, and bought it on a whim...although it was less expensive. It is just a passport cover though, nothing that is any different from lots of other brands.
Thank you both!!

I have it in orange and got it in paris. Love how the color complements the blue for US passports. When i get home, i use it as a wallet for errands. Goyard items don’t necessarily need to be only what they’re intended to be. As for the LV, it seems everyone has one because i see it all over different airports.

I only have an LV passport cover. IMO it boils down to what design you prefer. At that time I loved the option to customise with printed stickers etc.

Unless you are really rough on your passport there should be no noticeable quality difference. I have to take it out of the cover anyway whenever someone's checking it at the airport... On another note the LV edge glazing might just peel off after some years. Mine is peeling in the corners and where it bends. Not sure if that happens with Goyard, but I think both brands have glazing issues depending on the production year...

This really says it as it is.
I bought one earlier this year and love it enough to be tempted to get a card wallet to join it.
However, as cherylc put, 'it's just a . . . .' and to add my take on that, you could buy a perfectly stylish quality holder for less than one tenth the price; once you go down the route of considering $370, upping it to $700 doesn't really make much difference.
