Thoughts on engagement ring

Would love everyone’s advice on engagement rings. I unfortunately have large fingers (9) so looking for advice on what style looks better on my large fingers. None are the exact ring but narrowed it down to these two styles (approx 1.8-2ct round diamond)

The bigger one! I have larger fingers too and find that bigger rings compliment them better.

The halo style will give you more finger coverage and thus will be more complementary

Both are lovely but the halo is stunning! I don’t think you can go wrong with either, which do you prefer?

I love the halo and I think it looks beautiful on your finger. On the plus side, if the halo ever becomes dated, you could always reset the round center stone into a different mounting and repurpose the halo as a right hand ring by adding a gem stone.

I also have large fingers (about a size 10!), so I totally get where you’re coming from! Whenever I see pictures of dainty little hands with a smaller stone that looks enormous, I get a bit jealous.

I think both of the rings you’ve chosen are beautiful, but I think I like the RB a little more. I agree with Gypsy that halos will be a bit dated in a few years, but you should obviously go with the setting that makes you happiest above all. NLVOE’s suggestion of repurposing the halo setting if you ever get tired of it is a wonderful idea too! It’s kind of like getting the best of both worlds...you get a gorgeous diamond halo e-ring, and if you want to change it up down the road, you can always do that. Whatever your decision, congratulations on your engagement!!

Looks like both diamonds are round. I like the halo because of the larger illusion and finger coverage. I change my settings every few years as many people do so whether or not halos are a fad is not all that important.
