I have never been a Dolce & Gabbana type of girl, probably because I find it too girly/colorful for my taste. But then again, I love Miu Miu, so go figure.⠀ I was watching the earlier seasons of Sex and the City again when I started thinking about this brand. What are everyone's thoughts? Is the brand still relevant? What's the quality like? Do we consider it a premium brand? Just curious about what others think :confused1:

The bags have a distinct styling and prices are quite competitive if you compare them to what their competitors are charging.

Better to see the in person to see if they are something you enjoy! If Dior/Fendi/LV/MiuMiu are high end then D&G definitely are.

I find their clothes are the highlight of the brand though; the bags feel more like add-ons.

I have a pair of D&G sandals that are my favourites (I bought a second pair), the quality was very nice and as Christofle stated, competitive pricing for among the 'luxury' brands. The bags aren't really to my taste but I think you should just buy and wear what you love... isn't that what Carrie did? :)

I purchased the devotion top handle a few years ago i8n medium size, I believe it was around 1700/1800€ at the time and the quality, oh my gosh it is on another level.
The inside is cared in every single detail, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Do the women’s bags also come with an authenticity card just for the hardware? I’ve never seen a brand highlight who made their hardware before. (Was the case for my briefcase)

Dolce & Gabbana was my very first designer bag many many years ago. Gah, I feel old now, lol.
I still own a crochet black Dolce & Gabbana Sicily bag which is over 12 years old by now. Had hold up great so far.
They released this crochet Sicily bag again, only the details are a little bit different than the one they had over 12 years ago.
I used to have more Dolce & Gabbana bags, one was a very beautiful lilac puffy bag (kind of regret that I sold that one as it was really puffy and soft 🥰) and the quality of leather was always good. They are also good with exotic skins imo, I have a coin purse which has held up beautiful.
Personally, I don't mind if others think if a brand is relevant or not. I buy what I like and what works for me .

I’m not sure how relevant D&G is since I don’t hear many people talk about the brand and there don’t seem to be that mean retail stores. I would still say it’s a premium brand though.

However, I really love their Sicily bags! I have one in blue and I think it’s a perfect balance between a design that’s distinctive but not loud. Plus they come in a lot of colors beyond the standard neutral shades! I would say the quality is good- granted the price is not justified by the quality but I don’t think any designer bag really is.

Ahh that's exactly right!! Thanks for your input!! I must say they do have some gorgeous shoes!

This makes so much sense! They definitely have a unique style. It's almost like you can look at a dress sometimes and know it's D&G even if it has no logo.

So good to know since I'm thinking about getting one of their Sicily bags! Thank you!!

Same here actually! Some of my favorite bags are from not very well known brands and I still wear them all the time. I was more curious about the brand itself though, and how they were doing, and it sounds like they are still very strong in the fashion game.

Sicily is the bag I was looking at! I love its shape although I'm typically not into structured bags. Great to hear about the quality, thank you!!

D&G the company annoy greatly, but god i love their designs. D&G’s designs are just so gorgeous that I rationalize it and go with it. Every single time I carry my Sicily I have a 20 minute argument with myself about whether or not I want to be seen with it… but its such a lovely thing.

I’d love to have their housewares too, but I’d end up having the same problem but man they’re pretty.
