I have been planing to buy a watch over the last 6 months.
I was debating over Chopard Happy Sport or Cartier BB. The Chopard is beautiful but when I tried it on, I just did not feel the 'love'. I do love the SS BB but I had good advice thru other TPF members that I should consider a different look from my current watch (I have a 31mm 'boys size' Rolex SS Oyster Perpetual).
I have considered a TT BB. Both yellow and pink gold TT BB are beautiful, but I prefer a more casual look.
A few days ago, I spotted someone with a balck ceramic watch (not sure if it was a J12) and it looked great! I would be perfect for me - as it looks differnt from my current watch and is water resistant to 100m and scratch resistant (I wash my hands often at work, have toddler twins and 2 dogs!)

The big question is 'is it worth the $$?'.
It's within my budget but everyone I know would probably prefer to spend the money on a Rolex or Cartier watch!

Does anyone with the J12 have regrets?

I have a black j12 and love it! I also have a white j12. The reason I like them so much is they don't scratch and are very durable. I have a all gold cartier panther I never wear except for dressy occasions. I where my black j12 as my everyday watch. I wear it to the gym beach etc. I have no regrets on either j12's

No regrets. Love my black j12. Wore it to maccu piccu because we had fires here and I was afraid it would be gone by the time I got back. I have accidentally slammed it a few times into metal at work (IT) and it doesn't show any wear or tear. I'm obsessed with the j12 retrograde, I feel like I have it's baby sister.

I recently purchased the Chane J12 moonphase in black! I love the watch and wear it all the time! I also have the Cartier BB which is totally neglected :( . Although the price was a bit steep D/T complications of the watch I love it! I still baby it and try not to hit it on anything! Since you have a rolex, I dont see the reason not to get a Chanel! They have been making watches for over a decade and I hear no complaints, except its just a phase but ppl still go gaga over them! :)

I love a white and black ceramic watch. They are great every day watches. I originally owned both black and white chanel J12s, but sold them both for the Dior VIII ceramic watches in black and white.
I find the Dior VIII to be a more feminine watch. I just recently saw a picture Charlize Theron wearing a small black Dior VIII and it looked so classy on her.

I have a plain white J12 in 33 mm and plain black in 38 mm....love them. I went with smaller white because IMO white is more feminine and looks better on my small wrist, while black is more casual and 38 suits the more casual look.
