I have a mono bucket Pochette I LOVE. I use it as a catchall in most of my bags, it fits everything without being too big. It is perfect, right in between the size of a MP and a PA. I bought it preloved a few years ago and has a long life ahead I hope. However, when I was browsing Fashionphile (bad idea) I saw one in DE in excellent condition. Of course I bought it but wondering if it was the right move. I also have a MP in DE but don’t often use it because it is just a bit too small.

Just feeling a bit guilty as it wasn’t cheap but since it is not a piece I could buy new if needed thought it made sense. Does this make sense to anyone? It doesn’t to DH . CACC4DD2-AAB2-4AC1-B53A-89339463EEAD.jpeg

I can totally understand the notion, but I've never done this with LV. Instead I have multiples of the same item but in different prints. I guess that's more because I want a bit of variety, but the actual style of the item works well for me and I don't want to change that. But it definitely also helps in the event that something eventually wears out!

Edited to add -- I just realised you said your existing one is actually in Monogram. Even better!

I am generally not the type of person who likes to buy multiple of the same thing.

However, I totally understand if this is a piece that you know you will use very often. It will wear down over time and sooner or later you will need a replacement. Especially with LV canvas items, they are workhorses and very functional. And if this item is the one for you and nothing else compares, then I don't see why not!

Yes I do purchase back up LV!!!! and that MP from the bucket bag is one of my favorites. they have gotten so expensive tho.
Ive started to buy that size MP & key pouch for each of my nieces for their college graduation gift

This pouch is the absolute perfect size. I don’t know why they don’t make this as a regular item. It is so much more functional than the mini pochette as it can hold a phone but still smallish and cute. So glad I randomly found one a few years ago, have used it daily since. I just find the minis too small for daily use. Maybe I should sell those but since they are so hard to get I would probably regret it.

I love Victorine wallet so much and using it every day since I bought it. Also want to buy a backup one but feel a little guilty for stock up as it is not cheap or anytime soon.

If you have extra funds, good idea to stock up as you really like and the price will go up for sure.

To me , if I buy an soon-to-be retired items, the reason would be potential price increase (in other words, appreciation), or I absolutely love that item that I want to keep using it for longer time.

If the 6-key pouch is going to discontinue, I think I may get one more. It's not an expensive SLG. But one key pouch last me almost 10 years (and I just recently got the new replacement), so if I buy one now, there are chances that 10 years later I can't find where I put this key pouch!

I would only do this for SLGs personally - not for bags! I personally feel that new bag styles come out all the time so I wouldn't but I do have a back up in a monogram mini pochette and a back up damier ebene key pouch.

I currently use a monogram MP and a damier graphite key pouch. I use them everyday so when I could get my hands on them after a waitlist I thought why not?? If I wanted I could sell it at the price I purchased (hopefully) in a few years, earlier if I wanted to buy something else.

I find those are timeless pieces hence why I went and did that! Also I did not pay above RRP for it and just waited on the wait list till they became available so I felt good about them!
