Those with older reissues...

Has the pattern on your chain worn down over time if you have an older reissue or an anniversary reissue? I just bought a preloved bag (226 black with gold anniversary reissue) and am waiting on two different authentications (here and authenticate4u). The image on the chain is barely legible and doesn't look like the pictures I can find online! I can't tell if this is due to the age of the chain and the constant friction with the chain holes. Does anyone else's chain look like this? Thanks!

Can we see a picture of yours?

Yes, I did my best to take photos! The images on the chain aren't really legible but they look like all of the same type of wheat leaf or something. The images I've seen online have two distinct images per link. I can't seem to see either of these images. Is there any possibility that the anniversary chain was different than subsequent reissues? Hi. Here's a pic of my reissue chains: 2007, 2011, 2008

The gold hardware on mine looks like yours. The pattern looks more pronounced on the aged gold hw and antiqued silver hw. Hope that helps.

Thank you! This is really helpful. You can see why I was freaking out that my bag was fake when I was comparing my gold chain to pictures of silver chains online! It is a completely different pattern. That is so weird!

It looks like you may have received an answer to your question. I will attach a picture of mine as well. One is shiny ruthenium from 2012 (on the left); the other is matte ruthenium from 2011. Both purchased by me from Bergdorf's and Neiman's, respectfully. Unfortunately I do not own one with gold hardware.

Thank you! This is all so weird, your chains seem to have the same pattern as the gold but not the same as the silver and aged gold! At least I have received reassurance that my chains are not out of the ordinary.
