For some reason I thought there was a thread for this, but I searched so many different ways and nothing came up :shrugs: I wonder if the search works right in this forum.

Anyway...

Has anyone gone to see this? I went yesterday and WOW!! He was such a truly remarkable creative genius and it left me pissed off he was murdered by that jackhole Dr.!!!

It was neat watching him and the dancers were in awe watching him. They were getting their own private concert like every day. So lucky!

Also it showed me how "in shape" he was. He didnt look frail like people said. And it also discredited LaToya a bit cause she tried to say Kenny was forcing him to do this show for $$$. That was a crock, he wanted to bring awareness to the destruction of our planet and he was loving every minute of it!!! His effects for Thriller were beyond amazing!!!

I am going to try to see it again it was that good. I would also buy the DVD too. It was fantastic for anyone that can appreciate his talent and enjoyed him as an artist!!!

I saw the movie on Thuesday with some friends. To me MJ looked a little thin, but he was still able to do the dances and move just as well as his back-up dancers. I grew up listening to MJ and cried when certain songs came up. I will most likely go see the movie again.

I do not think that Kenny was forcing MJ to do the show. Throughout the movie Michael is seen telling how he wants things to be done, so I do not think that he was forced to do it. Michael was a musical genious and "This is It " showed that.

I was not really a fan of Michael Jackson, but I do think he was incredibly talented. I went last Sunday to see the movie. I was in awe the entire time & believe that the tour would have been awesome. It was sad seeing the footage that you know was of him rehearsing the day before he died. I bought the CD on Tuesday & would buy the DVD when it comes out.

LaToya was telling the press that "they" were forcing him to do this show for $$$. I didnt see that at all either.

I agree he was VERY thin, I finally saw someone with skinnier legs than my hubby LOL! But he didnt look as frail as people were saying he was.

Is the CD good? I am going to go check it out on itunes.

I found myself saying WOW alot LOL! And that girl that played the guitar was amazing. I loved when he mimicked the guitar and told her to make it longer, and then he said "this is your moment to shine". He was very humble.

The CD is very good. The one fault I had with the movie was inability to understand a lot of the lyrics because of the loudness of the music itself. The CD is so much clearer.

^Yeah but remember Michael said a few times "I cant sing full out I have to save my voice" LOL So maybe that is why his sound wasnt louder.

I thought it was so cute when he reprimanded his dancers when he was singing with the girl :P He really was a special guy! I mean if what he did in that movie was Michael at 50% imagine what that 1st concert live would have been.

Such a shame

I just saw the movie today and kept thinking that I have to see it again. It was a wonderful experience.

I agree he looked painfully thin, but he was in great shape. You could tell he wasn't dancing full out, but he was still incredible.

It made me so sad watching how much life he still had in him (contrary to all the media reports about him when he died), and how much more he had to give.

^Yeah that is what struck me at first, he wasnt this frail man that was all drugged up. He looked fine....skinny....but fine. Honestly my hubby is 6'2" and he has real skinny legs like that so I didnt think it was that out of the ordinary :P

I also loved all his outfits. That one leather jacket with the cross on the back was to die for cool!!! And some of his other jackets you could tell were custom made to have big shoulders. And all those sequins hehe :P

I saw this on Saturday and LOVED it. His music brought back so many great memories for me and I also lip-synced to everything during the movie. He did seem very humble and a true perfectionist and genius. I would have loved to have seen that concert, it would have been amazing.

On a strange note, the moment I clicked on this thread, "Beat It" started playing on my radio. Weird! hehe

MJ was thin but he was always thin. In previous years when he was dancing he didn't look quite as thin in the film. The film was really good and I was happy for Misha Gabriel, Nick Bass, Tony Testa and the other dancers. One of my favorite parts was MJ's duet with Judith Hill. It was magic.
