Dear ladies,

Please help to check this ring for me as I am not an expert on this.. :( It would be highly appreciate if you can check the spec for me. See if this ring is worth $2.6K

I found this in a jeweler that sells pre-owned diamond ring. I have only owned 2 Hearts on Fire now, and they are directly bought from HOF store. Therefore, I know nothing about the second hand diamond ring and the table size...etc. Please help to check if this is a Yay or Nah...thanks a lot

Table and depth looks okay but it's absent of the crown and pavilion info to really know the return of light, fire and spread.

It has the GIA report number, perhaps you can contact GIA to obtain the info.

Thanks a lot hun. Does that mean we can get the crown and pavilion info from GIA? Do they have any contact website/email?

Oh Pheobe,

There is a GIA and Cartier Appraiser, whom I used. I just got an email that that she is giving out a FREE $75 value for Cartier brand. Her name is Ginger and she received GIA education. I am not associate or affiliated with her at any shape for form. I paid her to authenticate my Cartier piece and I bought my YG love her two months ago. www.canadacartier.co

AME on here know lots about diamond too.

I work in oversea now. Thank you ladies for your great help!! I will check the site. I am not too worry about the authenity, I just not sure the quality based on the spec, also if the price is acceptable. Because I never bought Cartier diamond ring before, only some watches. Thanks.

Its really only ok. The price is reasonable for a stone of those color, clarity and size specs in a setting, yes, especially one of provenance, but the cut quality is only mediocre. The crown and pavilion angles don't go well together (I pulled the report).

Big thanks for the great help!! I think I should pass and wait for another one. ;) Thanks.

I think this is an ok diamond, but it's a bit over-priced, most pre-loved Cartier rings are not that expensive in second-hand market, I recently saw a VCA .47 D VVS1 3EX engagement ring (in Pt950 setting) sold at about 1100 USD, maybe it's not the same, but as far as my research goes, Cartier rings are in the same price range.

And then again, of course it depends on where you are, in Asia, pre-loved jewelries are more reasonably priced than in the US market.

2.6K is a bit too much for a pre-owned ring that you can't even be 100% sure if its authentic or not, if you dont mind me saying. i think you should look into just buying a brand new cartier ring, it doesnt have to be a diamond ring, they have some beautiful rings from the trinity and the love collection, both under 2k but they're diamond free, i dont remember if there are any with diamonds, check their website, but i am 100% sure about those 2 rings that i have mentioned. I hope I helped, and in the case that this thread was posted over 6 months, and you've already made up your mind, I am sorry as I am new to the forum and idk how to tell when this post was posted:faint:
