Thinking of getting a diamond for a custom DBTY..

Is there a rule as far as the sizing? My earrings are 0.33ct studs (each). Should the DBTY be smaller or bigger? Or can I go with a 0.32? Would that look weird?

I read somewhere once that your studs' tcw should be 2/3 the size of the diamond on your e-ring. The diamond pendant should be 1/2 the size of your e-ring. Based on this calculation, you should go for a pendant that's around 0.5c.

Thanks, makes sense. My e-ring is a little over 1ct. but I don't wear it usually. But you're right if my earrings are bigger, a smaller DBTY stone will be underwhelming. I'd rather not spend so much on a 1/2ct stone though. ush:
