Has anyone had any problems with their Palm Springs backpack like cracking on the glazing, cracking on the canvas, zipper getting caught? I have several on my watch list at Fashionphile, but a few of them are showing cracked glazing, which I guess isn't so bad since LV will typically repair it. But don't want to get one that has cracked canvas since LV won't/can't fix canvas problems. There's one that has really bad cracking on the canvas, so naturally I won't buy that one, but the others on my watch list have cracked glazing. Does it get significantly worse, and does LV repair that if it's on the glazing? I always thought they did, but not 100% sure.

Thanks ladies/gentlemen. Pictures would be great if you have.

Good to know. Thanks for responding. I've always heard horror stories about them, so wasn't sure if I should buy one, especially one that's pre-owned. But I love backpacks, and I think the PM would be a perfect size for me.
In my opinion, it's very much depends on how the person wearing it. All my bags are in new or like new condition, I baby them.

I know it’s not the same bag but… I have a preowned montsouris backpack from fashionphile and it is fabulous. I love it and it has zero quality issues.

Not sure if the Palm Springs specifically had quality issues with cracking, but my backpack is amazing. I use it ALL the time especially when I’m out and about with my son.

Not sure if that helps you at all. But if you’re hesitant about the Palm Springs, the montsouris is a lovely alternative. 😁

I actually had the Montsouris years ago, the large one (the original version), and I loved it. Another LV that I let go that I regret. I've always been looking on FP for one as well, just to see, but so far there aren't any in good condition. However, I really have my heart set on the Palm Springs because it looks so much easier to access with the zippers, than the buckles and drawstring from the Montsouris.

I have had old model Montsouris backpacks mini MM GM many times, they were amazing quality, currently I have one GM, she is rare like brand new, I save her for special occasions.

I know LV updated the lip design but I kept my OG version because it’s been perfect for me. I absolutely love my PS pm backpack for sporty days and travel: size is amazing and no cracks, peeling or issues with canvas, glazing, leather or hardware. I think my bag is 6 years old now image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
If you do get it, I suggest a light colour organizer to see/find things more easily :) GLD!image.jpg

Oh I can totally agree with you on that one. The buckle can be a pain. Sometimes I try to sneak things in and out without undoing the buckle! Getting things out works, but putting back in doesn’t always work. It’s too bad the buckle wasn’t somehow one of those snap button magnets instead. Would make for easier access.
Oh well I still love her 🩷

good luck in your hunt for your Palm Springs 💜

Your Palm Springs PM is gorgeous. This is exactly what I'm looking for, too. Thanks for sharing photos.
