Thinking about purchasing a Cartier Roadster Small....

Hi! So, while taking my Cartier Tank Solo into my Tourneau boutique last weekend I happened to notice a beautiful, used Cartier Tank Roadster (the small size). I really wasn't looking to find a new watch to fall in love with, but, alas, I HAD to try it on...it is gorgeous!!! I have tiny, tiny bony wrists and this watch fit me perfectly...

Anyway, I can't stop thinking about this but have a few questions before I start begging my DH for this (5 yr anniversary is in 1 week...:graucho:)....

Is this Roadster style being discontinued? Will this affect is re-sale value later? Do you think this is a timeless piece or too trendy?? Do those of you that have this style like it??

I have the Tank Solo and gave my Tank Francaise to my mother many years ago...I am so in love with the Cartier brand...

Also, if we decide to go ahead with this...any good reputable places to purchase from? I have bought 3 from Tourneau and have been happy...but it is always good to ask!!

Do you think it would be a smart investment piece though...since it is being discontinued? I don't want the value to drop significantly since they are a discontinuing it... And, I don't want to be out of style since I'm buying a discontinued piece. Of course...I do love this watch!! The one I'm looking at is the completely stainless one. Do you know if they are replacing this model with a newer model? TIA

i will think the other way around since the watch is discontinued its going to be harder to get it so more expensive to buy.
