I've had the Rocco on my radar for a little while now and I've found one preloved but I have a few questions before I buy. The one I'm looking at has a tiiiiny amount of wear at the piping, is there anything I can do to slow down/stop the wearing? Also is there anything I should do to the lambskin to keep it from getting scuffed up too much?

I apologize if this has already been discussed to death but I couldn't find specific answers to those questions. Thanks in advance!

I held off from answering as I'm a bit of naysayer, but since no one has responded yet….

I would not buy a bag that already has wear on the piping, as I don't think there is anything you can do to prevent it from getting worse. My Rocco is a bit older, and has white piping. I understand that they may have changed that, but my bag looks awful. I have used Edge Kote,
which I learned about here, and have had a shoemaker try to repair some of the damage, but it continues to wear away.

As for the leather scuffing, that actually has not happened on my bag. I love the lambskin, and the body of the bag has held up well.

If you will be bothered by the piping if it gets worse, I wouldn't buy a bag that already shows signs of wear.

That's what I was afraid of but on the other hand if I pay full price for the bag and then have piping wear soon after buying the bag I'm gonna be mad. I figure if it's gonna happen regardless I might as well buy preloved and save a few dollars.

You can find a new rocco on sale in the same price range as a pre-loved. I would stalk sales for a new bag.:smile1:

I am also debating. There is quite a bit of wear on the piping- but someone is selling for $300 - amazing deal for a college student like me!! I find the Rocco very trendy with the studs- I believe I will love it for a few years before I retire from it. This is why I think it is worth it :)
