Things to do and places to stay in Orlando, FL???

Hey guys I was planning on going to Orlando FL with my boyfriend in August... but looking on Travelocity.com, ther eare so many different resorts to stay at, so I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend one that they've been to or heard was nice.

Also any recommendations on places to visit, places to eat in that area besides Disney World, Unniversal Studios, and Sea World??? And would you guys think it is necessary to rent a car? TIA!!! :smile:

I am going to Orlando, FL in a couple weeks too. This time we are going to live in Disneyworld for 9 days.

If you are planning to go to multiple amusement parks I would rent a car. But for us since we're staying in Disney the whole trip we do not need a car.

Well originally we were going to stay at the Polynesian resort. I had made reservations and DH paid the bill, etc. Then in my Disneyworld thread many PFers suggested to switch resorts because the Poly isn't a satisfying resort I guess.

Now we are going to stay at the Wilderness Lodge.
