I'm ready to buy my first decent SLG and need your help. I need to replace my very worn, very cheap but very user friendly wallet. I love its functionality: it fits 5 cards plus my id, cash, and has a zip coin pocket and a slip pocket for receipts, etc. but it's also slim. It's just a little bigger than a dollar bill in length and height while the width is a fraction of an inch. So I can put it into just about any bag I own including evening bags.

So, I'd love your suggestions on a replacement. I want it to be great quality, non saffiano leather and not be heavily logoed. I don't need / want room for a checkbook - just the spaces I currently have in any slim profile configuration. I'm open to just about any color including black, brights, jewel tones & metallics. But I'd like to keep the price to around $250 or less.

I love this type of wallet - they call them card wallets, or 'euro slide' or 'euroslide' wallets. Lodis (the Audrey), Hobo, Fossil, Brahmin, Brighton, Tumi - some brands to check for these. And FWIW I don't think Kenneth Cole Reaction is too bad, the leather wears like iron, as you've discovered. I had a KCR manicure case that kept going until I gave it away (which I regret). I was going to suggest the YSL version of that which is a bit smaller but it's a litlte more than that.

I am almost positive that Lodis makes one just like that though. Possibly also Hobo, Check Ebags bec I have seen them plentifully on there.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I checked out quite a few of the brands suggested but the styles weren't what I'm looking for. I think I may have to spend a little more to get what I want since I want to upgrade the style. So if there are suggestions a bit more expensive (say less than $500) I'll take a look.

The most important thing to me is that the wallet be leather and very thin because I don't want to have to change wallets. I want it to fit in 95% of my bags. Other than that I would like it to have a feminine (design not necessarily color) touch.

Thanks for the names for this type of wallet!!! Not knowing this has been an issue in trying to search. I checked these brands and they seems a little plain. If I'm going to spend a bit more I would love to have a bit of feminine design too if possible. 😄

I would love to know what model of YSL wallet you'd suggest since it looks like I'll need to spend a little more.
