This is the LaCanada/Flintridge fire. It is looking awfully close. This was just taken from my front yard....

I guess the good thing is that there is zero wind but there is also zero humidity and it is 97 degrees right now...

I think we are far enough away that there won't be evacuations in my hood. If it were windy, it would be another story. I'm gonna sleep with one eye open though thats for sure. If I'm told to leave I would definitely leave.

it is right at the 2. a few miles west of JPL (jet propulsion lab). I just heard an update that no homes are threatened but man I just walked a block down the street and I can see flames. This is not good.

I really think we'll be fine. But as a precaution, I am going to gather some things together just in case and get some things together for my dog and cat.
(oh and Bella, hubby is out of town so he's very safe!)
