Yeah, I used to work at that mall as well as mission valley, and the bank where we made our deposits was closed several times a month due to robberies. Police told us it was because of the freeways ....
I worked there in the early 80's-------before the expansion.
It is the only high end mall. HP and UTC might have a few designers but nothing like FV.

DH and I saw this on the news. I asked if it was him getting stuff for me. 
Then he reminded me that because I am such an early riser each day, I was awake at the time of the robbery. Fashion Valley is my favorite shopping center.
Such a shame. I hope the boutique had some better video than what was shown on the news.

I feel like this is a reminder that we need to be careful about how we show our bags online. There are more people who are aware of the value of H now and we have to be smart about what we show.

Ugh. This makes me sick. I’m just glad it happened while the store was closed so that everyone was safe at home. I also think about the disruption to the employees and their livelihood. This is also my home store. This has happened at this mall quite often- Neiman’s was the most recent case.
There was one time that I was in the VIP room at LV and there was an active shooter on the loose. They sequestered everyone to the back VIP room until the coast was clear.
The proximity of this shopping center to the freeways makes it more appealing to thieves. By the way- for them to have been in and out in 2 min- they totally cased the place ahead of time and had a plan in place. So crazy!!

Oh dear you were one of the people in the room during the LV shooting? My SA told me about it. That must have been so scary.

I’ll find out when they reopen next week. I hope she was hidden away or at least ran away and hid herself when the alarm sounded. Either way she must be frightened.
