Or at least one person, but something tells me there's more than this one I ran into...

This person looks to have been reviewing counterfeits for a long time- they are not just "inspired" bags either, all outright thieveries with brand names and all. She's like this one is good, this one not even close... basically rating criminals on how well the crime is done. And with each entry there are dozens of people clamouring to get fakes! What the heck is wrong with these people?

I am so disgusted :yucky:

I saw a video on YouTube made by a woman who, according to her own words, only buys AA&AAA fakes. She made a comparison between her own fake and her MIL's A fake Neverfull. When I commented saying it's illegal and she is supporting criminals, she called me a "stupid stupid woman" in public, PMed me like crazy for an hour and blocked me.

What disgusted me the most was the amount of admiring comments saying how great the fake was and questions on where to get one.

It's all very sad, sad upon sad.

I just stumbled on a site that has used real SA's photos of authentic stock to promote what will obviously be fake cr*p.

This fake promotion indicates the level of duplicity in this nasty business :yucky:

Of course you do realise that those "impartial reviews" are paid don't you?

Haha yes! Tbh I didn't at first but I saw she kept recommending the same site over and over again. Hmm...
Turns out (natch) she owns the site & there are soooo many people who got scammed by her. I feel bad for them but at the same time what did they expect? I mean they couldn't truly be surprised that someone who is already a criminal commits another?!

And these fakes are not cheap either. They are all a couple hundred dollars. A lot of these women buy multiple purses too it seems. I just don't understand... even if we take away how illegal it is, why spend so much to 1) take a chance on its quality, look, everything 2) and still there's a good poss ppl will recognize as fake 3) not to mention you couldn't walk into their stores (can you imagine telling a friend "oh, I can't go into Chanel store today, I'm wearing a fake") 4) even if none of the first 3 happen, THEY know it's fake. How do they respond if someone they respected and wanted to make a good impression asked, where did you get your purse? I wouldn't respect a woman who pretends her fake purse is authentic or a woman who tells me she buys replicas on purpose...

And I don't buy "I love the design" excuse for a second, almost every major designer purse has tons of "inspired" versions downmarket but no, it has to be mirror/aaa rep because "inspired" won't fake everyone into thinking you have the it purse or whatever...

Sorry! Off my soapbox now

interesting reaction. she must feel some type of guilt or obligation to have to defend her pov that aggressively.

A few years ago, I saw a review of a fake Hermes on Youtube. Out of curiosity, I went to the site. The handbags were supposedly not made until you ordered one. You could decide what color you wanted, hardware, and size. What floored me was the price. $1500 for a machine made bag which would take 2 weeks to complete. A handstitched bag would take 3 weeks and cost $2000.

Needless to say, I was floored.

And with that money, you could have gotten an amazing, authentic LV, Balenciaga, whatever...

That lacks logic.

Eh, people do stuff. It's a fact.
I like to adhere to the, "too good to be true" rule.
Otherwise known as my personal alarm bell against scammies & tricksters.

However, online can be a minefield.
Because many photoshop away their beady little eyes & devil horns, before posting those greedy videos.

Well, whoever buys that filth knowing it is counterfeit, i.e. criminal merchandise, DESERVES to get scammed and either not get that "merchandise", or get items that fall apart almost at once. I'm glad thousands of such parcels never reach their destination in the EU as they are intercepted, controlled, seized and destroyed: pity Customs can only seize the fugly stuff, but not lay hands on the sweatshop producer or the criminal sellers operating outside their geographic remit...

That lacks logic.

I don't think so. People who buy fakes want the status without the cost. AAA Chanel or other high end fakes can cost half the price of a genuine bag. These bags are made of lush leathers, carefully stitched and varnished etc etc. If you have Chanel money (and no conscience) and you want a Hermes, you either settle for the Chanel or - if you really have no self respect or conscience - get a AAA fake Hermes.

Sounds like there is significant cost though, the poster i quoted was speaking of bags that were 1500$... for fakes while real were 2000$ ... so that is what i responding too.

Nope, I don't think that was the way it went - I gathered a machine stitched bag was $1500 and a hand stitched cost $2000, both fakes. Criminals are getting more and more professional and starting to put more effort into customer service. Which is kinda sick. :weird:
