With that scratched hologram sticker definitely no! Its very steeply priced IMO. You may look at Japan /SGP sellers . You can DM me for suggestions. Took me 2 years of scouting to arrive at some good ones

Hi Everyone! I purchased a vintage white CHANEL tote. The bag came with a smell which I do not dislike but brought me to wonder if the bag ever caught mold. After reading a post saying mold can transfer to other stuff, I'm kind of scared and paranoid to find out. The smell resembles a pre-loved CHANEL (not vintage) I bought before, so I guess it could be the smell of CHANEL leather bags? Not sure how mold smells. Besides the smell, the bag shows moderate yellowish which I assume is normal with white CHANEL bags and I can accept. The bag also has grey marks on three out of four edge corners (one of the corner attached). Could anyone help identify or share how to spot a bag that has or ever had mold? Thank you!

Yes, you’re right the serial number starts with 23... I love the leather design, I think of it as “rainbow quilt” but the push lock worries me since my other (and only) vintage Chanel flap also has this type of lock and it’s stuck! The flap cannot be opened. Any tips?

Can I know what happened?! Was leather surgeons able to fix it?! LOL

Hi! Thanks! The experience was very positive. I ordered on a Friday and it arrived via DHL on the following Thursday. The bag looked better in person than online. They are very detailed with the condition. If you’re unsure, you can reach out to them on Instagram to video chat. I am in the U.S. and got lucky. I didn’t get charged customs fees. However I have ordered from other overseas websites and the customs fees plus DHL’s fees were 9-10% of what I paid if the value was over 800.

Hello vintage experts. I have a small lambskin black quilted camera bag with a beautiful tassel on the side. The dust bag is thick white felt. I have had it for about 20 years and it was preowned when I got it. The stamp says made in Italy and there is a hologram sticker but it is completely opaque so I can't see the numbers.
Can you tell me the approximate age of the bag based on the dust bag and the tassel? I will take pictures if they would be helpful. Thank you.

I recently obtained a very old Chanel bag from one of my mother´s friends. It is in poor condition (nothing that can´t be restored), but I have no clue what model it is. It doesn´t have a serial number stitched into it, so I assume it´s a bag from before the 80s. Can anyone help me find out what model this bag is? It´s got the gorgeous"Eclair" tassel and an overall timeless look. Let me know if you need more pictures, I´d love to find out exactly what model this is. Thanks already!

It’s priced at 9.5k CAD, which does seem a bit high (due to the condition), but not crazy compared to current comparables.

9‘500CAD???? I‘m sorry but thats INSANE. You can get that exact bag as a fullset and basically brand new for that price. DO NOT SPEND 9‘500cad on THAT. It‘s NOT a popular color that retains its value. A fair price for this exact bag without authenticity card and great vintage condition is 4‘500-6‘000CAD MAX.

Do not waste your money on that. Sorry for my brutal honesty.

These new in Canada right now are 11k plus tax, but that’s assuming you can even get one. In resale, people are marking up as you can’t get them new

There is no true markup on vintage/used chanel bags as there is on birkins or kellies. They don‘t sell well for those prices. Yes, it‘s possible thats what they cost retail, but Chanels price increases do not match the market value anymore. The used classic flaps sell for below retail unless they are special edition. And usually beige go for less than black caviar with silver hardware for example. Also a friendly reminder: You‘ll be using a bag and it will get scuffs and signs of wear quickly. So paying extensive premium for just slightly better condition is not worth it in my opinion. Find this bag on vestiaire or somewhere familiar for much less, bargain the price, and get yourself this bag in good used condition for much less. By the photos, the one you‘re eyeing looks like its from a luxury reseller store. Those never have fair prices.
