The Vintage Thread!

I don’t remember the year that I purchased each of these but I remember falling in love with the top one from a photo in a magazine and purchasing over the phone from one of the boutiques in Las Vegas.. I was SO nervous as I’d never spent so much money on anything other than my car and college & medical school tuition before
I still love and carry both to this dayView attachment 4562690

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help/comment on vintage (late 80s/early 90s) Chanel double flap bags where the interior flap is a completely different colour than the exterior leather and also not the typical burgundy. I came across one on a resellers site and it appears in fantastic condition but I’ve never seen an interior like this. I know this seller is legit, I just would appreciate more info/history on this colour combo. Thanks!!
That is interesting. I have seen a ton of Vintage Chanel (I used to "study" it online). I have never seen that color interior either. Could have been custom, maybe.

Does anyone know if the vintage classic flap bags have longer chains? I’ve come across a 9” and 10” bag and they both have 20” drops which means I can wear crossbody. Does anyone know what period the chain was longer and then when they started making them shorter?

Hi there everyone. I’ve found this purse in some boxes after moving house and I was wondering if anyone would be able to identify the brand. The logo looks like it has a R an F and (O,G or C) in the middle. If any one could help out that would be very grateful!

Medium CF Lambskin double flap GHW. MIF. 66 series(manufactured around 2000 I believe)
Few not noticeable scratches, very slight corner wear, interior is in great condition. No structure wear or bowed base.
however no dust bag no auth card…got it from Fashionphile. I’d like to know how much you think is a fair price for it.

(I hope it’s the right thread to post this)

How much did you pay for it

on an authenticity card... is the only number that tells you anything the first 2? For example an authenticity code that starts with 19 is most likely from 2014. But that's the only part of the code that would have any meaning? Unlike Louis Vuitton where you can tell by the code where it was made and the week/year. thanks
