...they want us to say "skin"

I don't know how many of them have tried to correct me on this....or inform me....it took me forever to stop saying "leather" and say "skin."

OK, I have it now:yes:

.......Skin!!:cutesy:

Interesting Isus. I suppose that from now on the topic on the forum would be...What is your favorite skin?" What skin is next in for you?" Come and check my new skin"

I think I will always continue to say leather instead of skin.

Somehow the sentence "OMG! This ____ is so yummilious and luxurious to the touch" just doesn't sound as right when "skin" is used ;):shame:

The last time I was in New York, my SA said "Where's the leather book?" She didn't say "Where's the skin book?" If she did, I would have thought she was distracted and looking for porn!

i think it's rude to correct a customer who uses a different word that is still utterly appropriate. according to wordnet.princeton.edu:
leather - an animal skin made smooth and flexible by removing the hair and then tanning.

I agree...using "skin" and describing it as yummy and soft, resilient, slouchy...

I don't know....

Now I am getting flashes of the character, Jame Gumb, from "Silence or the Lambs" dancing around to that song from reading this thread...
