PETER TANGEN, BRAVO

Get ready America: "The Real Housewives of Orange County" is coming back for a third season.
Cable network Bravo is bringing back the "docu-drama" reality series that follows the lives of five mostly privileged Orange County women. The show will air at 10 p.m. Tuesdays, premiering Nov. 6.
Returning for season three are insurance businesswoman Vicki Gunvalson, realtor Jeana Keough, single mother of three Tammy Knickerbocker, and Lauri Waring, who's selling insurance, developing a jewelry line and planning an extravagant wedding with her fiancé George Peterson.
Tamra Barney is this season's newest housewife, replacing Jo De La Rosa, who has moved up to Los Angeles for work and to pursue a singing career. Barney, 39, is blond real estate agent who lives in Ladera Ranch. She has four kids, including Ryan, a 21-year-old from a previous marriage.
"The Real Housewives" did well for Bravo last season. The season finale set a record for the series, attracting 1.5 million total viewers and 1.2 million viewers ages 18-49. The one-hour finale was the most-watched program on cable between 8-11 p.m. March 14 among viewers 18-34, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Overall, season two boasted an 86 percent average increase over season one for total viewers, and a 93 percent increase among viewers 18-49.
In season three, Tammy and daughters Megan and Lindsey Knickerbocker deal with the death of the girls' father (and Tammy's ex-husband) Lou Knickerbocker. Vicki Gunvalson and her husband Donn decide to downsize and move to a smaller house in Coto de Caza. Jeana Keough is still having troubles with her husband, and her kids face their own challenges.
Lauri Waring and her fiancé have combined their families to become a "New Age Brady Bunch." Their wedding is quickly approaching. And newcomer Tamra Barney is learning how to balance work and family and handle the return of her oldest son back into the house. Ryan does not get along well with second husband Simon.
