I recently fell in love with the Ramona. I've compared it to other hip bags (ie. Muse, B-Bag, Stam), and I'm totally enthralled with it. It's serious enough to get me off other fixations I might have developed in the last couple of days.

Things I'm not certain of:
1) Will it scratches easily, or get dirty easily? I am on the move often during the work day and travel regularly.
2) Will it require above and beyond the normal amount of care I give to my other designer bags? I keep all my bags stuffed with clean clothes in their dustbags in a cool place.
3) Does the design/style have longevity to warrant room in my currently small closet? I've just acquired the Gucci Boston Treasure bag -- but it's classic and I know I'll use it again and again.

Do I need this bag at $1850? Help!

I don't own a Ramona so I can't answer your first two questions, but I will say I think it is a beautiful bag and I definitely think it has longevity! The price is a bit steep but most great bags are pricey, right?

I agree with Kat, it does have longevity and potential to be a classic in my book! Of course I'm being biased, I have one in black but, really the leather is like butter and I don't notice any proneness to scratches or extra care. If you get a dark color there shouldn't be a problem with stains, it's like any other bag. I just store mine in the dust bag and stuff it in my limited closet space too, and it's fine. I would take a look at it IRL, $1850 is alot of dough! I hoped this helped, I know there are a few girls who own at least TWO to THREE of the Ramonas!

I have one in chocolate and LOVE it! I also have the Rosso in stone and it is also a great bag. I do think the lighter color of the stone is picking up a little dirt on the edges. I have carried it a ton though. I carried it for a month straight when I first got it and that is rare for me as I like to switch out bags often. The stone just seems to match everything! Here are my bags:

They look gorgeous in pictures (never seen on IRL). I think that they seem like wonderful bags with longevity...I'm more than certain that it's worth the $$$.

I know many people were worried that this soft leather would scratch/mark easily but mine doesn't have a single mark. Granted, I haven't used and abused it heavily but it has held up surprisingly well. The leather is positively scrumptious and I think the gold grommets/hardware are gorgeous and have zero bling-factor.

On the downside, I don't like that the bottom of the bag isn't structured. I think it would look better if it held its shape a little better. That's my only complaint.

I agree that this bag won't look dated. It says "classic" to me.

Great pictures; your Ramona bags are gorgeous!!!

I'm so new, what does "IRL" mean? Does that refer to used? I did see a listing for a used one on ebay, but after my recent fake Blondie discovery, I am weary (item #: 6883938820).

My new love for the Ramona has already pushed me into inquiring at jimmychoo.com to see if there are any available in black/chocolate/camel. One of their SAs called me this morning and told me yes in black and chocolate! I asked her to hold one for me...now I know they are sitting right there, waiting for me to place the order.

How am I going to get this purchase past the fiance?!

That bag is a horrible fake!

I'm getting so sick of eBay, even though my very limited experiences on there have been good up to this point (til that fake blondie shows up at my house!).

Did you guys see that there is a real Navy Ramona listed, something about a special order gone wrong? The SA who called me did say that Navy is not available right now, so in case anyone is looking for Navy.

I am trying to decide between black (my fav) and chocolate (cause so many of you seem to love it).

I LOVE my black Ramona. To be honest, it was my Mums, but after all my stuff got stolen, she let me have it! (she also has it in Stone).

1) Will it scratches easily, or get dirty easily? It's so soft but unusually sturdy. I haven't used it heavily either but I have NO scratches on it at all. The hardware on the other hand you need to be careful with. The buckle may scratch eventually.

2) Will it require above and beyond the normal amount of care I give to my other designer bags? Goodness no! It's a good bag like that. Stuff it (it NEEDS to be stuffed) and put it in the dust bag and no problemo!

3) Does the design/style have longevity to warrant room in my currently small closet? I've just acquired the Gucci Boston Treasure bag -- but it's classic and I know I'll use it again and again.

This bag is the most timeless thing I own. Its gorgeous and slightly "grown-up" without being old. It's lovely.
