If you watch videos about the MK outlets they have bags we would never see at regular mall MK stores, or Macy’s
the outlet articles are almost completely different maybe they have some bags with same shapes of Michael by Michael Kors but different prints and details like different decorative studs and different locks.
It’s like a Collection specifically made for those stores.

So can we say the MK outlet counts as a third sub brand or third fashion line of MK. The first is Michael Kors Collection, the second is Michael by Michael Kors and the third is Outlet Michael Kors.

The funny thing is no one separates the three brands or lines. People call them all Michael Kors bags but they are three completely different lines or brands with the Same name by the same guy.

I agree with you. They are all very different in terms of construction, quality & design

My understanding is that the design teams for the MMK and MK Outlet may share designs and prints, but they create different items in general and use different compositions for the final products to meet cost requirements.
Michael Kors himself designs the Collection (runway) items.
I suspect that the MMK and MK Outlet line also get basic design blueprints/prototypes (I do not know what these sub-contracted goods are called in the fashion industry) from different manufacturers of certain items, e.g. rain jackets, umbrellas, small leather goods, etc. All of the contemporary and department store brands have similar "components" worldwide (not just MMK), that is why I suspect that a lot of the designs for the outlet and general retail come from sub-contractors, and have the final designs approved by the brand before manufacture (i.e., adding the name plate, leather embossing, etc.).

i Thought so that Michael Kors does the designs of his most expensive line great to confirm that but didn’t know he hires Other designers for his other brand MMK And the Outlet bags.

so I guess we could consider the Outlet bags of every contemporary brand another sub brand.

I have the Michael Kors Vivianne, which is the outlet version of the Sloan. It's one of the more expensive bags that was offered at the outlet when I bought it ($140). I don't think it's any different in terms of craftsmanship in this item vs the Sloan, but you can definitely see where they made design choices to save a little money. This bag is cow leather instead of lambskin like the Sloan. The clasp is also simpler. And the chain doesn't have interwoven leather. But I don't think it's any less "quality." It's just like buying a lower end item at the retail store vs a higher end item.

woow it’s Really beautiful. it does look with a nice quality. Next time I go to the states I’m gonna look for the outlet MK.

even If it doesn’t have the the leather on the chain it still looks super elegant.
i think it doesn’t matter where you get it but a quilted bag is a most even if it’s not real leather.
