Does anyone know if all necklaces are now sold in blue (vs black) boxes? And do you think I could exchange the black box I got with the necklace I bought years ago for a blue one?

I know at my nearby Tiffany's, I was told that necklaces over $1,000 will be given in the brand new blue box! I would definitely ask if they could swap out your black box. It truly elevates the look and feel in my opinion!

Thank you! I will call the store and ask. I bought the necklace 5 years ago so it might be too late but I’m not planning on buying another $1k+ necklace any time soon so it’s my only shot at that box.

Apologies I am misunderstanding, are you referring to the outer cardboard box or the actual box the piece was presented in?

As per my understanding, and my purchase experience (including necklaces and rings), all Tiffany jewelry (as in the piece itself) is presented in a black box, apart from if it is an engagement piece, then you have the option of the "blue" box. All pieces then have the outer cardboard "blue" box, wrapped in the white ribbon.

Hope that helps

The inner case.

A necklace isn’t a traditional engagement piece, though, but now they have blue necklace boxes.

That's exciting. Clearly, where I am in the world, my SA is behind with this news, as I have always asked this question hoping to get a blue inner box on anything , especially rings (ofc they know I'm married too). I hope they can do that for you.

All of my recent purchases (Necklace, earrings, bracelets) have been in blue boxes, no longer the black box. Hope this helps! I love the new blue box too!! It makes for a wonderful display

Were your purchases all over $1000 and gold/platinum, if I may ask?

I wonder if any less expensive, silver pendants come in the new box.

Yes the recent purchases were all above $1000 and gold & platinum.

From my understanding, when I bought a fine platinum or fine gold chain (under $1000), it just came in a paper box with the foam and drawstring pouch. If it's above $1000 it'll come in the blue box with the blue paper box and pouch.
