So I got to thinking about how my wardrobe kinda has a weird twist. I have my $10 Walmart shirt paired with my $600 handbag [emoji23][emoji23], but....IT WORKS! List some of your awkward parings...just curious [emoji4]

Such pairings do not feel awkward to me. Are my style.
Wearing head-to-toe of 1 brand, or everything showy/pricey, would feel boring.

Here are a few jumbles, in earlier posts on forum:
Your Hermes in action!
blouse=charity resale shop
necklace=roberto coin
(purple converse sneakers, not seen)

t-shirt=free promo for friend's band

Those charity shop jeans again.;)
shoes=birkenstock
cardigan/shirt=various department stores

Ahoy polloi (an island for the masses)
always match lug sole screws to bag hardware:lol:

Hope helps.

I'm not big into clothes, but I love bags, so I always have an expensive bag with cheap clothes! Clothes fall apart and are not meaningful to me. I expect my bags to last a lifetime.

Today's outfit is pretty much what I wear on an everyday basis - at least the style direction and prices:
Sneakers By Ecco (bought for 50€)
Jeans, 35e
Knit by Selected Homme, 29€
Bag, today it's DKNY ~200€ but it could be Mulberry, DvF, Longchamp or AW just as well.
When I travel, I usually rock a hoodie, jeans and a bag I don't need to worry over (like a Pacsafe backpack or LC LP) and get really lousy service from lousy SA's. The good ones know enough not to judge a book by its' cover.

I always do things like that - a cheap t-shirt and a highend bag...
But seldom vice versa: I would rather not wear a Euro 10,- Backpack with Tom Ford stuff.
Maybe it comes from the saying that you could wear a potato sack with good shoes but not a highend dress with tacky galoshes...
I think there is something to this as the bag/shoes enhace or depreciate (is this the right word?) an outfit.

Never heard this saying before but I like it!!

I spend very little on clothes and most come from Penneys (Primark) but I could carrying be Chanel or Michael Kors! One of my favourite ways to style my Chanel is with my Adidas Superstars. I love the juxtaposition. I think it's cool!
